About Bloomsbury Football Foundation In 2018, Bloomsbury Football Foundation started with four kids and a bag of footballs on a housing estate in Camden. Today, we reach over 7,000 children and young people every week across London and we're just getting started.
We exist because not every child grows up with the same opportunities to play, belong, and progress. Too many young people are locked out of the game by cost, circumstance, or geography. We're changing that and using football, the world's most popular sport, as a powerful vehicle for health, wellbeing, and social change. It's not about producing stars. It's about shaping better futures.
In just a few years, our income has grown from £1m to over £5m. We're now expanding beyond London into areas of deprivation across the country, with ambitions to reach over 40,000 young people every week by 2031. No other sport-for-good charity in the UK has achieved scale at this level. We intend to be the first.

Key Responsibilities
Session Planning & Delivery
- Plan and lead the delivery of regular coaching sessions across all Bloomsbury Football Foundation programmes, intentionally supporting Bloomsbury Football's impact goals and youth development outcomes
- Create engaging, age-appropriate, and inclusive session plans that cater to a wide range of abilities, promoting physical, social, and emotional development
- Deliver high-quality coaching that reflects Bloomsbury's dedication to purpose, belonging, and progression on and off the pitch
- Adapt sessions in the moment to the group in front of you, so every young person is included, challenged, and keen to come back
Relationship building & communication
- Create and maintain positive relationships with multiple stakeholders, including young people, parents, partners, and venue staff
- Communicate effectively and confidently with young children, parents, and other stakeholders, adapting your approach for each
- Represent Bloomsbury Football Foundation professionally at all times, embodying our mission to transform lives through the magic of football
Development & professional standards
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of coaching quality and programme delivery, sharing what works and what does not with the wider coaching team
- Bring creativity and innovative ideas to sessions and to the coaching team around you

PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS Alongside your coaching, this role leads performance analysis across the Academy. The sections below set out that add-on.
Filming & matchday operations
- Own the filming schedule across every team in the Academy, planning ahead so that each fixture has a camera, an operator and a confirmed location
- Manage, train and delegate to a team of interns to film and analyse match footage
- Communicate the filming plan clearly to coaches, interns, and opposition clubs, and keep it up to date as fixtures move
- Maintain the Veo cameras, tripods and equipment to a high standard, ensuring kit is charged, tested and match-ready before every fixture
- Ensure every match is uploaded promptly after the final whistle, results are added to the analysis database, and footage is shared with the relevant Bloomsbury team and opposition
Analysis & coach development
- Analyse filmed matches in InPlay Sport and work with lead coaches to create match-specific analysis packages that players and coaches can learn from
- Upskill the interns in InPlay Sport so they can assist with analysis and produce work to the same standard
- Maintain a strong relationship with InPlay Sport and Veo, pushing the partnership to keep our analysis innovative, detailed and useful to coaches on the grass; ensure administration including renewal dates, account details, payments and contacts are maintained effectively
- Keep a clear, accurate and accessible record of every match filmed and analysed, so coaches can find what they need without asking
Session observations & content
- Schedule coaching sessions to be filmed for observation, aligning with the Head of Coaching to avoid clashes and to ensure a spread of coaches are captured across the season
- Manage distribution and collection of cameras to coaches before and after their sessions, and ensure footage is uploaded and shared promptly with the coach and their senior coach manager
- Keep the GoPro kit session-ready, cameras charged, SD cards cleared and equipment maintained, so no observation is lost to avoidable problems
- Catalog and tag content, curating clips relevant to specific themes, including Goal of the Month, CPDs, and bespoke content for Marketing and Fundraising as needed
- Ensure all analysis activities uphold BFF's safeguarding policies and values
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential: - Strong alignment with BFF's values and a passion for football as a tool for social impact - Passion for working with young people from diverse backgrounds and abilities - Experience of working in an educational or sporting environment with children and young people - Ability to work effectively across different settings and venues, including schools and external community venues - Confidence to communicate effectively with young children, parents, and stakeholders - Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement of session planning and delivery - Up-to-date safeguarding and first aid certificates - Flexibility in working hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends (6 days per week, including Saturday and Sunday) - The right to live and work in the UK
- Experience using video capture equipment such as Veo or GoPro, or the appetite to be trained to a high standard quickly - Strong command of analysis and video software such as InPlay Sport, and ability to learn new platforms quickly - An organised approach to scheduling, uploading, and recording footage, so that coaches can find what they need without asking - Experience supervising, training, or coordinating interns, volunteers, or early-career staff
Desirable:
- UEFA C coaching qualification
- Experience working with diverse communities and delivering inclusive coaching to children with disabilities or from underrepresented groups
- Experience coaching girls
- Experience working in a fast-growing charity or social enterprise
- Strong interest in youth development and community engagement
- Experience in a performance analysis department in an academy setting - Experience producing analysis outputs for players and coaches, including individual clips, match packages, or team-talk content
