### Position Overview
We are looking for an autonomous, highly capable Backend Engineer (2–4 Years Experience) to accelerate the growth of our cloud-native microservices ecosystem. In this role, you will transition from just writing code to actively taking ownership of end-to-end feature delivery, designing domain-driven APIs, and optimizing system performance. You will work closely with senior architects to break down monolith architectures or build out new distributed modules, ensuring our systems remain scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available.
### Key Responsibilities

- Module Ownership: Independently own the lifecycle of backend features—from scoping and architectural layout to implementation, automated testing, and production deployment.
- Microservices Development: Architect and implement high-throughput, loosely coupled microservices utilizing Java (11/17+) and Spring Boot .
- Database Optimization: Design scalable relational and non-relational database schemas. Write, analyze, and optimize complex queries, indexes, and transactions to eliminate system bottlenecks.
- Integration & Messaging: Implement asynchronous communications and event-driven patterns between microservices using message brokers.
- Code Quality & Mentorship: Champion clean code architectures (SOLID principles). Conduct thorough, constructive code reviews and mentor incoming junior engineers/interns on internal frameworks.
- Resilience & Testing: Maintain high test coverage by writing extensive unit, integration, and component tests. Participate in designing failover strategies (retries, circuit breakers).

Required Technical Skills

- Core Java Mastery: Strong expertise in Java (Java 11 or 17 preference), including deep familiarity with Functional Programming (Streams/Lambdas), Concurrency/Multi-threading, and Memory Management.
- Spring Ecosystem Expertise: Advanced hands-on experience with Spring Boot , Spring Cloud (Eureka, Config Server, OpenFeign), Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA / Hibernate.
- Distributed Systems Foundations: Proven experience developing and maintaining production microservices. Practical understanding of distributed problems (e.g., distributed tracing, handling network timeouts, idempotent APIs).
- Data Management: Proficient with relational databases ( PostgreSQL / MySQL ) and a solid understanding of connection pooling and transaction propagation rules.
- CI/CD & DevOps Foundations: Familiarity with containerization ( Docker ) and deploying/debugging services in cloud environments.

Preferred / Highly Value-Add Skills

- Hands-on experience with Event-Driven architectures using Apache Kafka , RabbitMQ , or AWS SQS.
- Exposure to NoSQL databases ( Redis, ) for caching and document storage.
- Experience tracking system health via Observability frameworks ( Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or OpenTelemetry ).

- Autonomy: Ability to take a loosely defined product requirement, clarify ambiguities, map out tech requirements, and execute it efficiently without constant oversight.
- Pragmatic Problem Solving: Knows when to implement a quick, stable hotfix versus when to pause and advocate for code refactoring.
- Active Collaborative Voice: Comfortable presenting technical trade-offs in sprint planning sessions and communicating clearly across teams.

Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent engineering discipline.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of proven professional software development experience focusing heavily on enterprise Java applications and backend microservices.
