AGML is evolving into a service-led organisation responsible for providing shared services across multiple regulated entities within the Antares group. Operational Resilience therefore needs to be considered not only at an individual entity level, but also across shared services, common technology platforms, third-party providers and group-wide operational dependencies.
The Operational Resilience Manager will act as AGML’s central subject matter expert, supporting common standards and a consistent approach across the group while recognising the specific accountabilities and regulatory obligations of each entity. The role will work closely with business leaders, service owners and specialist functions to integrate resilience into operational management, service delivery, supplier oversight, change and decision-making.
Key responsibilities
Embedding Operational Resilience
· Lead the practical embedding of Operational Resilience across AGML and the services it provides.
· Strengthen first-line ownership and accountability by working with business leaders, Important Business Service owners and service owners.
· Translate regulatory expectations and group standards into proportionate, workable business practices.
· Deliver workshops, training and engagement activity to improve understanding and capability.
· Promote consideration of resilience in day-to-day operations, strategic decisions and business change.
Framework, standards and maturity roadmap
· Maintain and enhance the Operational Resilience framework, policies, standards and supporting guidance.
· Drive delivery of the agreed Operational Resilience maturity roadmap, tracking progress, dependencies and outcomes.
· Support common resilience standards and consistent practices across the entities served by AGML, while recognising entity-specific requirements.
· Keep the framework aligned with relevant regulatory expectations and market good practice.
· Coordinate the relationship between Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Technology Resilience, Cyber Security, Operational Risk and Third-Party Risk Management.
Group coordination and service resilience
· Maintain oversight of resilience dependencies associated with shared services, common platforms, intra-group arrangements and critical third parties.
· Work closely with Service Management and service owners to embed resilience within the design, governance, measurement and review of intra-group services.
· Support the coordination of resilience activity where incidents, disruptions or vulnerabilities affect shared services or multiple Antares entities.
· Provide subject matter expertise during significant events, including support for dependency assessment, escalation, recovery considerations, communications and lessons learned.
· Ensure cross-entity resilience risks, vulnerabilities and concentration risks are identified, understood and reported to the appropriate decision-makers.
Support coordinated preparedness without displacing the accountabilities of designated incident, crisis, business continuity or entity leadership teams.
