Role Overview

This is a key role responsible for managing employee relations matters and processes across the organisation. The position reports to the EMEA Head of Employee Relations.

Role Responsibilities

As an Employee Relations Case Manager, you will partner with HR Business Partners, Employment Legal, control functions, managers and employees to support the effective resolution of a broad range of employee relations matters.

You will manage disciplinary, grievance and other employee relations processes from initial assessment through to resolution, including conducting and overseeing investigations. The role also supports facilitated discussions, organisational change initiatives, redundancy programmes, relocations, TUPE matters and restructuring activities.

In addition, you may contribute to employee relations projects, including policy development, global initiatives and regulatory programmes, with a focus on conduct and risk management.

You will develop and deliver both formal and informal learning sessions for managers and employees, while maintaining current knowledge of employment legislation, regulatory developments and employee relations best practice.

Skills and Experience

- In-depth knowledge of employment law, HR policies and employee relations practices, gained through an employee relations function, employment law practice or a similar environment.
- Experience managing disciplinary, grievance and redundancy processes from initial assessment through to resolution.
- Experience supporting employee relations matters within a regulated and complex organisation.
- Practical experience of workplace investigations, including interviewing and documentation processes.

- Identifies, assesses and helps mitigate risk, recommending appropriate actions within relevant legal, regulatory and organisational frameworks.
- Builds collaborative and effective working relationships with stakeholders across the business and wider HR function.
- Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Manages multiple priorities, cases, projects and deadlines in an organised and effective manner.
- Provides practical, stakeholder-focused guidance and uses coaching and influencing skills appropriately to support positive outcomes.
- Works effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

Qualifications

- CIPD qualification or relevant employment law experience is desirable.
