Creative Play Lab is an ambitious, future‑focused innovation hub inventing radical new play opportunities and never‑seen‑before experiences for LE GO ® fans of today and tomorrow. As an intern in our Play Discovery department, you’ll join teams dedicated to le tting loose their creative curiosity and exploring new play experiences. You’ll un le ash your imagination across a range of innovation missions, collaborating cross-functionally to develop concepts into playab le prototypes.

Your time with us will span personal curiosity projects, team capability-building initiatives, and innovation Missions. Meet the Concept Model Building Exploration team:
The Concept Model Building Exploration team works with existing LE GO ® e le ments (classic, technic and DUPLO) to create concept models. They integrate mechanisms and new digital and physical inventions into their designs to explore the future play potential of interactive LE GO ® models.
I nternship Eligibility:

To qualify for this internship opportunity, you must meet all of the following criteria: (1) You will be a student for the full duration of the internship period; (2) You are currently due to graduate after 31st December 2026; (3) You will not be requesting a delayed graduation date to qualify for this internship; (4) This internship will contribute quantitatively towards your course credit and is a compulsory part of your education; (5) You are availab le to undertake this internship contract starting from 1st September 2026 and ending on 31st December 2026 in Billund, Denmark.

Focus: Our workload and priorities are always changing. You need to be happy shifting priorities fast, focusing on a high priority task one week then focusing on developing your own independent curiosities the next.
Vision: Co-creating the vision for the future LE GO ® sets with the multidisciplinary team and pursuing the conceptualization of the prototypes.

We welcome international applications for this ro le however you must be ab le to live and work in Billund, Denmark for the duration of the internship itself. The LE GO ® Group will provide support with permits to work in Denmark for the internship period and we can support with finding accommodation. The costs of your accommodation along with your travel costs to/from Denmark must be covered by you.
We have multip le Play Discovery internships availab le , each supporting a different team with their own focus area. Take a moment to review all these opportunities and apply only to those that truly align with your strengths . If you have broad skills, applying to more than one team is acceptab le but applying to a large number of teams doesn’t increase your chances of making a successful application and makes it harder for us to understand where you’d shine. P le ase be thoughtful in your approach.

- An A4 size poster (landscape) designed by you to showcase why you think you are a good fit for the internship. You may use text, photographs, colour etc. to communicate your enthusiasm, ta le nt and values.
- A current CV detailing your education and re le vant experiences.
- A full portfolio showcasing a more in-depth range of your work. This should include projects that highlight your interests, ref le ct your passions and demonstrate your hobbies.
- A bespoke cover le tter (no more than 200 words) that tells us what motivates you to apply for this internship and why you think you’re best suited for the placement. If you can do or say something to help your cover le tter stand out then p le ase do . We encourage you to be original and authentic to who you are.
