SUMMARY

The Product Specialist is responsible for engaging potential customers who have interacted with the dealerships website, digital advertising, or online tools but have not submitted a formal lead. Using tools such as Impel (or similar AI engagement platforms), dealership CRM systems, and digital campaign data, this role identifies engagement opportunities and proactively reaches out to customers to initiate conversations. The goal of this position is to convert digital engagement into meaningful customer interaction, helping move potential buyers into the dealership sales process through professional outreach and coordination with Sales Management. This role also supports showroom operations by assisting with guest coverage when the sales team is fully engaged and providing backup support to the Showroom Host when necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

- Acknowledge/Greet all Customers using the 10-4 guide.

- Utilize Impel (or similar AI engagement platforms) to identify customers who have interacted with the dealership website, digital advertisements, or online tools but have not submitted a lead.

- Generate and procure prospect lists from Sales and Marketing Management, website traffic, chat activity, digital marketing campaigns, and customer engagement tools.

- Collaborate with Sales Management and Marketing to identify outreach opportunities and develop engagement campaigns.

- Conduct proactive outreach through phone calls, email communication, and approved messaging platforms to initiate customer conversations.

- Respond to incoming digital inquiries and conversations generated through outreach efforts.

- Qualify customer interest levels and coordinate timely introductions to Sales Management or Sales Consultants once engagement is established.

- Maintain detailed documentation of customer interactions within the dealership CRM system.

- Track outreach activities, engagement levels, and conversion results.

- Assist in executing digital engagement campaigns developed by Marketing and Sales Management.

- Support follow-up communication with customers who have shown interest but have not yet visited the dealership.

- Provide showroom coverage when Sales Consultants are engaged with other customers to ensure all guests entering the dealership are acknowledged promptly.

- Provide backup support to the Showroom Host by assisting with greeting guests, answering phones, and directing customers when necessary.

- Maintain strong coordination with the Service Drive Prospector – Lead to ensure outreach activities align with dealership prospecting strategies.

- Maintain professional, warm and hospitable, communication standards and dealership brand representation during all customer interactions.

- Safeguard customer information and comply with all dealership privacy and data security policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Customer Engagement
Identify and engage customers who have interacted with dealership digital platforms but have not submitted formal leads.

Outreach Campaign Support
Work with Sales Management and Marketing to execute customer engagement campaigns designed to convert digital traffic into dealership opportunities.

Lead Qualification
Initiate conversations with potential customers and determine interest level before coordinating introductions to the sales team.

Showroom Support
Provide additional showroom coverage during peak traffic periods and assist with guest management when sales staff are fully engaged.

Communication Documentation
Ensure all outreach activities, conversations, and follow-up actions are properly documented in the CRM.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Experience
Previous customer service, BDC, sales support, or digital marketing experience preferred. Automotive dealership experience is helpful but not required.

Communication Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage customers professionally across multiple communication channels.

Technology Skills
Comfort working with CRM systems, AI communication tools such as Impel, and digital marketing engagement platforms.

Organizational Skills
Ability to manage prospect lists, follow-up schedules, and campaign activities in a structured and organized manner.

Customer Service Skills
Ability to engage customers professionally while maintaining a positive and helpful approach to dealership interactions.

Licenses
Valid Drivers License with acceptable driving record.
