Job Overview:

This role is an Operations Analyst within the U.S. DWS Investment Operations team in Jacksonville, Florida, responsible for performing various trade support functions and working closely with the Portfolio Management and Trading teams.

As an Analyst on the Trade Support desk, you will be responsible for post-execution trade lifecycle processes across products such as MBS, Money Market, Fixed Income, and Equities, including trade confirmation, settlement, and exception management. The team processes an average of approximately $35 billion in high-value trades per day, resulting in a significant level of financial and operational risk, including Treasury Market Practices Group (TMPG), fail claims and potential overdrafts at custodian banks.

This role requires close daily collaboration with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and global Operations teams, serving as a trading assistant in an operational support capacity. The Analyst must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and resolve time-sensitive issues promptly.

Responsibilities:

- Support the Fixed Income, Equities, and Liquidity Management desks with trade matching, transmission, confirmation, and settlement activities.
- Liaise among Trading, Portfolio Management, brokers, and custodians to ensure complete and accurate trade-date, T+0 risk mitigation.
- Monitor the Aladdin Trading System Dashboard daily to identify new trades and ensure they are confirmed accurately and promptly.
- Monitor SWIFT transmissions and the SMF Pending Queue in Aladdin daily to identify and resolve potential message failures that could result in failed trades.
- Prepare and execute required daily and monthly reports.
- Communicate effectively with custodians regarding trade settlement, exceptions, and other operational matters.
- Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities to implement automation through artificial intelligence or other technology solutions to reduce operational risk and improve efficiency.
- Participate in working groups to investigate and resolve operational breaks, recurring issues, and process inefficiencies.
- Identify, investigate, and effectively communicate system issues to service providers, including BlackRock Solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and periodically review Desktop Procedures in accordance with the established control framework.

Your skills & experience:

- Bachelor’s degree or two to three years of relevant financial industry experience.
- Experience with, or a strong understanding of, fixed-income instruments such as MBS, Money Market Products, and Municipal Bonds.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycle.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership and confidently discuss trade-related topics with business stakeholders.
- Ability to work productively and collaboratively with others across regional and functional teams.
- Excellent client service, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with the Aladdin platform or a strong understanding of trade lifecycle processing, trade confirmation messaging, SWIFT and Aladdin Data Exchange (ADX) trade messages, and static data mapping.
- Strong understanding of BlackRock Query Language (BQL) and its application within Settlement Instruction templates and trade-routing configurations.
- Ability to investigate and resolve complex Portfolio Manager investable cash discrepancies to support timely investment decisions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, brokers, custodians, accounting teams, BlackRock, and other relevant vendors and service providers.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville, FL is $46,000 to $72,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.  Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
