Berklee seeks a Workday Student Analyst to support Workday Student operations across our campuses and online. Reporting to the Senior Director, Workday Strategy and Operations, the Workday Student Analyst will work closely with the Workday functional and technical leads, while technically supporting the Registrar and Academic Affairs. This position will collaborate with business partners to identify, recommend, and implement system improvements and enhancements, including reporting, dashboards, and configuration changes that will enable Workday to support Berklee's strategic and operational priorities. The role will also function as a quality assurance and change management advocate to manage Workday’s bi-annual release cycles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Request Management & Troubleshooting: Support intake tickets for Workday student-related requests; support enhancement requests, reporting requests, brakes/fixes; and troubleshoot system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions.
- Module Configuration & Workflows: Maintain and configure Workday Student modules, including Admissions, Records, and Advising, and partner with the Workday platform team to enforce data quality standards and optimize workflows.
- Testing & Change Control: Test all changes and participate in change control; participate in Workday Student project testing and regression testing; build regression and acceptance test scenarios and coordinate continuous testing strategies with business process owners; and test integrations between Workday and external systems using Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB).
- Implementation & Deployment: Support final implementation phases (building into production, testing, validations, report validation) and support deployment tasks including catch up, first registration, operational training.
- Reporting, Documentation & Release Management: Create and maintain custom reports, queries, and user dashboards; create and maintain end-user training materials, documentation, and job aids; monitor the Workday Community for upcoming feature updates; and analyze, assess impact, prototype, test, and deploy changes for biannual Workday releases.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Consult with and collaborate across student-services SMEs, operational staff, and management, and analyze and translate functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications to design functionality based on business and technical requirements.

Required Experience & Skills

- Education & Professional Experience: Bachelor’s degree and relevant business analysis and/or business analyst training and experience required, along with 3+ years experience or exposure to higher education student administrative operations required (e.g. registrar operations, admissions/recruiting, academic program/curriculum administration, academic advising, student accounts, financial aid, etc). Direct experience with Workday Student required.
- Technical Aptitude & Systems: Strong understanding of data integration between systems and/or experience working with IT, strong understanding of data integrations and system architecture, and experience with other Higher Ed ERP/CRM systems (Colleague, PowerCampus, Salesforce) is preferred.
- Business Process Analysis: Intellectual curiosity with a proven ability to map complex business processes into visual diagrams/documentation.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent written and verbal communication skills - including the ability to impart ideas in both technical and user-friendly language, demonstrating natural ease and effectiveness working across levels and teams with varying levels of ambiguity or uncertainty, and ability to translate technical jargon into user-friendly language for diverse stakeholders.
- Relationship Building: Strength and experience building relationships and collaborating across lines of difference, balancing stakeholders needs, managing expectations, and leading/owning cross-team projects with great attention to detail, as well as a proven track record of building positive relationships within a highly diverse campus community.
- Self Management: Self-motivated ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and manage ambiguity.
- Productivity Tools: Experience with Google Workspace/G Suite productivity apps (e.g. Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc) and Smartsheet preferred.
