Structural Drafter

Job Title: Structural Drafter Job Description
The Structural Drafter will be responsible for producing accurate structural construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD for a variety of commercial and industrial projects. This individual will work closely with Structural Engineers and Architects to develop detailed drawings, incorporate design revisions and engineer markups, and support project deliverables throughout the design process. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of large and mid-sized projects while working alongside an experienced team of engineering and design professionals.
Responsibilities
- Produce structural construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Coordinate drawings with architects, structural engineers, and MEP professionals in project coordination meetings.
- Perform QA/QC reviews on drawings to ensure they meet project standards and client requirements.
- Maintain project file organization and drafting standards.
- Create structural plans, foundation plans, sections, and details.
- Develop steel framing drawings.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- 1-5 years of experience with structural drafting and design.
- Experience with commercial, industrial, and multi-family projects.
- Knowledge of structural design, drafting, and structural engineering principles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with structural analysis and structural steel.
- EIT certification is advantageous.
Work Environment
This is a fully onsite opportunity based out of the Lansing office, where you'll join a close-knit team of 15 employees. The role offers excellent exposure to both Structural Engineers and Architects, providing the opportunity to work on a diverse mix of large-scale and mid-sized projects while continuing to grow your technical and design experience. The work environment promotes learning under licensed leadership with opportunities to wear multiple hats and a track to leadership.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
