Client Engineer

We are hiring a Client Engineer to join our Digital WorkPlace Solutions team at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee!

In this role, you’ll help deliver and support the laptop and Windows 365 services used by employees and contractors across the enterprise. You’ll assist with automated application deployments, develop software packages and deployment scripts, support Windows 11 environments, and help remediate workstation vulnerabilities. You’ll work with technologies such as Microsoft Intune, PowerShell, PSADT, AdminStudio, and Company Portal to create reliable deployments and troubleshoot issues, making this a great opportunity to directly influence the employee technology experience across the organization.

Ideal candidates for the role will have:

- Experience developing and deploying software packages for Windows 11 environments.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, including building application packages and troubleshooting deployments.
- Experience with PowerShell, PSADT, AdminStudio, and system scripting.
- Experience troubleshooting Windows 11, Intune, and Company Portal issues.
- Understanding of application packaging and automated software deployment.

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience with Patch My PC and vulnerability management tools such as Qualys.
- Knowledge of certificates, application signing, and Microsoft AppLocker.
- Experience managing Intune policies.
- Experience with Citrix XenApp or other application virtualization solutions.
- Experience with Nexthink or NinjaOne for remote desktop environments.
- Experience supporting developer communities.
- Experience with ServiceNow, change management, and ticketing.
- Scrum experience and/or relevant technical or ITIL certifications.

Note:

- This is a remote, work-from-home position, but the final round of interviews will take place on-site in our Chattanooga, TN HQ.

Job Responsibilities

- Analyzes, designs, develops, documents, and implements complex solutions for the end user computing systems.
- Provide highly available software distribution and patch management.
- Monitoring performance and maintaining system stability.
- Supporting and ensuring reliability of deployed technologies, systems and processes according to established procedures and industry best practices.
- Must be willing to adjust schedule to perform maintenance and upgrades outside of business hours and be part of an on-call rotation.

Job Qualifications

Education

- Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field, or commensurate experience in a professional environment, required.

Experience

- 3 years - Experience in Information Technology required

Skills\Certifications

- Knowledge of infrastructure technologies including workstations, networking, storage, virtualization and the integration between these systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proven decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent time and project management skills
