The Planner is responsible for developing and managing production plans to meet customer requirements while balancing site efficiency, production capacity, and inventory levels. This role ensures effective planning and coordination of resources to support business continuity and operational objectives.
Work model, sponsorship, relocation:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position currently.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Develop production plans to effectively meet product requirements while balancing customer needs, site efficiency and inventory levels.
• Establish realistic, achievable and effective production plans.
• Optimize the use of labor and equipment to support operational efficiency.
• Communicate production requirements and priorities with operational areas, including Production and Purchasing, and other functions across the organization as appropriate.
• Monitor production plans and define appropriate quantities, schedules and distribution to maximize operational efficiency.
• Participate in the Material Review Board (MRB), as required.
• Perform capacity requirements analyses at least monthly.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports to monitor and track production plan performance.
• Incorporate special scheduling requirements, including overtime, training and meetings, into production plans.
What We’re Looking For:
Required qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position.
• English proficiency at the B2+ level (80%-89%).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience with SAP.
• APICS certification.
• Knowledge of inventory management.
