2027 Internship – Global Supply Chain - Logistics Specialist

This internship position reports to the Global Logistics department and supports transportation data analysis across all modes, including parcel, less-than-truckload, truckload, air, ocean, and intermodal. The intern will help collect, validate, analyze, and summarize logistics data to identify cost, service, compliance, and process improvement opportunities that support global transportation operations.

Job Accountabilities may include:

- Collect, organize, and validate transportation data from internal systems and carrier reports.
- Analyze freight costs, shipment activity, carrier performance, and service trends across transportation modes.
- Assist with dashboards, recurring reports, rate comparisons, and freight audit activities.
- Work with logistics and cross-functional teams to gather information and support issue resolution.
- Support process improvement projects and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Assist with preparing datasets, validating carrier information, comparing freight costs, and developing reporting tools that improve transportation execution and decision-making.

Intern Project:

- As a Global Supply Chain Intern, you will be assigned an individual project relevant to the current needs of the business.  You will be provided with mentorship and support from members of your team in order to execute the project objectives.  At the end of your internship, you will make a presentation report out to senior supply chain leaders and other business partners.

Additional Information:

- This position requires a 5-days in office schedule.
- The primary location for this position is San Diego, CA.
- Relocation assistance is available for this position.
- Target internship timeline:

- Group 1: May 24, 2027 to August 13, 2027 (12 weeks)
- Group 2: June 21, 2027 to September 10, 2027 (12 weeks)

Minimum Qualifications :

- Currently attending a 4-year accredited university/college or obtaining an advanced degree.
- Preferred Majors: Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2.8/4.0 GPA

Preferred Qualifications :

- Previous supply chain internship and/or work experience.
- Strong initiative, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership involvement in student associations.
- Competence in data analytics.
- Strong scheduling and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Knowledge of inventory and planning and a basic understanding of manufacturing operations, with product and commodity knowledge preferred.

Summary Pay Range:

$22.50 - $40.25

Intern Hourly Rate:

An intern's hourly rate is based on the major/degree being pursued and the number of completed academic hours achieved before the start of the internship.
