Job Summary

SUMMARY

The Customer Service Representative serves the Business Support Center. Print materials using the copiers. Meters all outgoing GHS mail. Services customers' printing, copying, laminating, and bookbinding needs in the Business Support Center. May also provide service with responsibilities of the total amount of U.S. Postal Service stamp stock accountability assigned to the Grady Post Office. Works as a window clerk, cashing money orders, selling money orders, stamps, etc. Sorts mail and distributes into mailboxes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness against purchase orders and packing slips
- Sort, label, and distribute packages to appropriate departments in a timely manner
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and coordinating carrier pickups (e.g., USPS, FedEx, UPS)
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments using tracking systems and internal platforms (e.g., Workday or inventory systems)
- Provide customer service support by responding to inquiries regarding shipment status, delays, and delivery confirmations
- Resolve shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, or missing items by coordinating with vendors and internal teams
- Operate shipping and receiving equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, scanners, and postage machines
- Ensure all materials are properly documented, received, and entered into the system in accordance with company procedures
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the loading dock and receiving areas
- Support inventory control by assisting with cycle counts and stock replenishment as needed
- Follow all safety, compliance, and organizational policies, especially in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare facilities)
- Process daily receipts to clear match exceptions, performing the necessary research to validate physical receipts
- Manage the linen request portal Clarify by adding and deleting students, employees and physicians who actively need or who no longer need access to the linen carts and scrub machines throughout Grady.

QUALIFICATIONS

- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of Clerical Experience
