The Training Coach II is an experienced, field-based training professional responsible for delivering, coordinating, and supporting clinical and operational training programs within the assigned market. This role facilitates onboarding, classroom instruction, and in-center training activities to ensure Training Coach and MA learners successfully transition from training to independent active support for providers in the market. When needed, the Training Coach II will support providers as a Medical Assistant (MA) in the market with patient care and function as a role model for other Medical Assistants.

The Training Coach II monitors learner progress, validates competencies, maintains training records and reporting tools, and provides coaching and feedback to support performance and readiness. Working closely with Training and Operations Leadership, this individual helps identify training needs, address performance gaps, and promote consistency in training delivery, standardized workflows, and organizational training practices. As an individual contributor, the Training Coach II serves as a training resource and subject matter expert, supporting workforce readiness, operational alignment, compliance, and a positive learner experience.

Qualifications

Education Required:

- High school diploma or equivalent

Licenses/Certifications Required:

- Active clinical certification or license (MA, EMT, Paramedic, or LPN)
- Required certifications (e.g., BLS)

Work Experience Required:

- 2+ years of clinical experience in urgent care, outpatient, or similar clinical settings
- Prior experience as a Training Coach, Preceptor, or equivalent role
- Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR)

Preferred Qualifications, Education, Licenses, Certifications, Experience, etc.:

- Experience supporting onboarding and training programs
- Prior experience as a Training Coach, Preceptor, or Super User
- Urgent care or multi-site clinic experience
- Introductory experience facilitating training or coaching peers
- Familiarity with Epic or eClinicalWorks

## Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Training Delivery & Onboarding Facilitate new hire onboarding, clinical skills training, and workflow education.Deliver classroom, virtual, and hands-on training; serve as a backup facilitator as needed.Reinforce standardized workflows, policies, procedures, and best practices.Provide coaching and feedback to support learner development, readiness, and a positive onboarding experience. Learner Tracking & Training Administration Monitor learner attendance, training progress, and completion using established tracking tools.Communicate learner status, readiness, and concerns to Training and Operations Leadership.Identify and escalate attendance, performance, or engagement issues that may impact training success.Maintain accurate training records, assessments, certifications, reports, and related documentation. Performance Assessment & Skill Validation Participate in Training Coach candidate interviews and provide job-related feedback.Observe and assess learner performance in training and clinical environments.Validate competencies and identify skill gaps or performance concerns.Recommend additional training, remediation, or "Back to Basics" interventions as needed.Support learner improvement plans through ongoing coaching, feedback, and skill reinforcement. Training Operations Support Support training operations, schedules, program logistics, and assigned training initiatives.Partner with Training Coaches, Training Leadership, and Operations Leadership to promote training consistency and workforce readiness.Serve as a resource for training-related reporting, tracking, documentation, and special projects.Identify training gaps and recommend improvements to training materials, processes, and delivery methods.Support pilot programs, training initiatives, and process improvement efforts. Clinical Support Provide clinical support based on business needs when assigned training responsibilities have been completed.Maintain required clinical competencies, certifications, and compliance with established quality and patient care standards.Adhere to all clinical, regulatory, safety, and organizational requirements while performing clinical duties.Prioritize training responsibilities as the primary function of the role, with clinical assignments based on business needs and leadership direction.  For MA specific duties & responsibilities, please reference the MA Job Description (job code 130001).

Office Environment: Tasks may be conducted in a center location or within a climate-controlled office setting. Physical Activity: The role may require the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials, supplies, and equipment (up to 15 lbs.) Duties typically involve a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with frequent changes in position. Travel: Travel is required, including travel between Company locations and out-of-town destinations as needed, 50% or more, based on business needs and training requests. Schedule: Ability to work weekends to train pre diem and Part-time team members.
