Position Summary
The Construction Project Manager will oversee all phases of commercial construction projects from initial scope, budgeting, and planning through subcontractor management, execution, and final client handover. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader skilled at controlling costs, managing project timelines, and ensuring strict compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Project Execution: Plan, execute, and direct all aspects of assigned commercial construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability.
Scheduling & Budgeting: Develop comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and work plans in coordination with architects, engineers, and trade subcontractors.
Subcontractor & Procurement Management: Negotiate subcontractor agreements, manage vendor relationships, oversee material procurement, and maintain cost control.
Site Leadership & Communication: Lead regular site meetings and maintain transparent communication with clients, field teams, architects, and internal stakeholders.
Project Documentation: Generate, track, and maintain accurate project documentation, including change orders, RFIs, submittals, and progress reports.
Safety & Quality Control: Enforce compliance with local building codes, company quality standards, and OSHA safety protocols across all job sites.
Project Closeout: Direct final walkthroughs, punch lists, agency inspections, and smooth client handovers.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience managing commercial construction projects with a proven track record of on-time, on-budget delivery.
Software Skills: Proficiency with construction project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar systems).
Construction Knowledge: In-depth understanding of commercial building methods, MEP trades, cost control, and project scheduling techniques.
Leadership & Problem Solving: Exceptional leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture preferred; OSHA 30-Hour or equivalent safety certification is a major plus.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $100,000.00 - $120,000.00
