Position Overview

Hammer Head Security is seeking reliable and professional Residential Community Patrol Officers to provide security services at private residential communities in Richmond and Pittsburg.

This position focuses on maintaining a visible security presence, conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols, monitoring common areas and community property, documenting observations, reporting safety concerns, and assisting residents and property management when appropriate.

The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, professional, and comfortable working independently while maintaining clear communication with Dispatch and community management.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct scheduled vehicle and foot patrols throughout assigned residential communities.
- Maintain a professional and visible security presence.
- Monitor community streets, parking areas, gates, common areas, amenities, sidewalks, and other designated locations.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access, property damage, vandalism, theft concerns, and other security-related conditions.
- Document incidents, observations, property conditions, and community concerns using company reporting procedures.
- Take photographs of relevant conditions, incidents, hazards, or violations when required.
- Identify and report maintenance and safety concerns such as damaged fencing, lighting issues, water leaks, debris, gate problems, and other hazards.
- Communicate regularly with Hammer Head Security Dispatch and designated Property Management personnel.
- Provide professional assistance to residents and direct HOA-related questions or concerns to Property Management.
- Conduct inspections of designated community areas and facilities according to site procedures.
- Operate assigned patrol vehicles and security equipment safely and responsibly.
- Maintain required uniform, identification, and safety equipment while on duty.
- Assist responding police, fire, medical, or other emergency personnel when requested.
- Complete accurate Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and Incident Reports.

Site Responsibilities – The Cove at Marina Bay | Richmond

Officers assigned to The Cove at Marina Bay will:

- Conduct overnight patrols from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM .
- Conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols of designated community areas.
- Verify pool closure after 10:00 PM and fitness center closure after 11:00 PM.
- Inspect the clubhouse and designated common areas.
- Monitor dumpster and trash areas and document improper disposal when observed.
- Inspect designated portions of the Regatta community fence line.
- Verify and document after-hours emergency vendors when applicable.
- Report lighting problems, hazards, property damage, and other security concerns.
- Follow site-specific procedures provided by Hammer Head Security and Property Management.

Note: Parking and fire-lane enforcement are not currently assigned responsibilities at The Cove.

Site Responsibilities – River Run Community Association | Pittsburg

Officers assigned to River Run will:

- Complete a minimum of six scheduled patrols per assigned shift .
- Patrol designated areas including Burnham Drive, Case Drive, Houser Drive, and Jorgensen Court.
- Monitor designated parking areas and residential parking requirements.
- Document parking-related concerns with photographs and applicable vehicle information and follow established site procedures.
- Inspect designated fire lanes, emergency access areas, and fire hydrant clearances.
- Report abandoned, unauthorized, or inoperable vehicles.
- Monitor gates, common areas, landscaping, sidewalks, and other community property.
- Operate patrol vehicles at a maximum speed of 10 MPH within the community .
- Maintain accurate documentation of patrol activity and observations.

Safety & Emergency Procedures

- Follow all Hammer Head Security safety procedures and site instructions.
- Maintain personal safety as the priority during incidents or unusual circumstances.
- Observe and report suspicious or potentially criminal activity.
- Contact 911 for crimes in progress, fires, medical emergencies, or immediate threats to life or safety.
- Move to a safe location when circumstances present a safety concern.
- Do not pursue, physically confront, or place yourself in unnecessary danger when responding to suspicious activity.
- Follow Hammer Head Security's Observe and Report procedures.
- Notify Dispatch and appropriate Property Management contacts when required.
- Complete detailed reports documenting observations, actions taken, photographs, notifications, and relevant outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

- Valid California BSIS Guard Card required.
- Valid California Driver License and acceptable driving record.
- Prior security, mobile patrol, residential community, HOA, or related experience preferred.
- Strong observation and communication skills.
- Professional and customer-service-oriented approach.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, guests, vendors, and management personnel.
- Ability to remain calm and professional when addressing difficult or unexpected situations.
- Ability to complete accurate DARs and Incident Reports.
- Comfortable using smartphones, cameras, and electronic reporting applications.
- Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to walk, stand, drive, and perform routine patrols for extended periods.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Professional appearance and conduct.

- Thursday: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Friday: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

River Run Community Association – Pittsburg

- Tuesday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Wednesday: 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Saturday: 11:55 PM – 6:00 AM

Additional shifts may be available based on operational needs and client requirements.

Work Environment

- Private residential communities.
