About Us:

NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution is responsible for the licensing and distribution of NBCUniversal product to all forms of television and new media platforms in the U.S., Canada and in over 200 territories internationally. NBCUniversal’s content portfolio includes a vast and diverse library of more than 6,500 feature films and 170,000 television episodes, including current and classic titles, non-scripted programming, kids, sports, news, long-form and short-form programming from Universal Pictures, Focus Features, Universal Television, Universal Global Television, Sky Studios, NBC Late Night properties, DreamWorks Animation, Telemundo, and more, as well as locally produced content from around the world. Overview:

The Manager, Contracts provides support to the VP, Business and Legal Affairs – Global TV Distribution Business & Legal Affairs and is responsible for handling television license agreements and other business administration tasks as set out below.

Here you can:

- Lead the drafting, review, negotiation, and administration of contracts, primarily related to the licensing of film and television content for global television and digital/new media partners. Manage agreements across various distribution channels such as free, basic, and pay television, as well as SVOD, PPV/VOD, EST, and other emerging media, utilizing the in-house contract management system (SAFE).
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of short form license agreements, deal memos, amendments and any other legal documents as needed.
- Identify, research, and help resolve complex business and legal issues, including matters involving contract interpretation, rights, and obligations.  Serve as a key business partner and resource to sales, marketing, technology, and administrative teams by providing timely guidance and ongoing contract and legal support.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the Contracts Specialist team, providing training, guidance and performance oversight while ensuring consistent application of departmental processes, contract standards, and best practices.
- Drive improvements to contract administration processes, workflows, and systems to enhance efficiency, scalability, accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Lead and participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Here you'll need:

- 5+ years of professional experience performing similar responsibilities, preferably with experience in Business Affairs, Legal Affairs, or Contract Administration within a movie studio, production company, or other entertainment organization.
- Extensive experience drafting, reviewing, interpreting, and analyzing legal documents, with strong judgment and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated leadership and people-management experience, including supervising, mentoring, training, and developing team members while effectively managing priorities and workflows.
- Proficiency working with a variety of online tools and databases, with the ability to learn and implement new technologies and processes as needed.

- Previous experience in international licensing and distribution of entertainment product is a plus.

Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range: $90,000 - $ 100,000 (bonus eligible).
