How you will impact the organization…
The Payroll Manager is responsible for leading the organization's global payroll operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for employees across multiple countries. This role oversees end-to-end payroll administration, payroll tax compliance, system administration, reporting, audits, and continuous process improvements while partnering closely with HR Operations, Finance, Internal Audit, Tax, Accounting, Benefits, and external payroll providers. This position is a “player/coach” managing the payroll team.
The Payroll Manager serves as the subject matter expert for payroll operations, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and international payroll regulations while delivering exceptional employee service and maintaining strong internal controls. This position is responsible for driving payroll operational excellence, identifying process improvement opportunities, and supporting organizational growth through effective payroll administration.

- Manage the end-to-end payroll process for domestic and international employees, ensuring payrolls are processed accurately and on schedule.
- Partner closely with the Senior Director of Global HR Operations to support global payroll strategy, operational excellence, compliance initiatives, and continuous improvement of payroll processes.
- Administer payroll through ADP Workforce Now (WFN) and coordinate payroll activities with international payroll providers and partners.
- Conduct bi-weekly payroll audits for U.S. payroll operations to validate payroll accuracy, confirm employee deductions are calculated correctly, verify tax withholding and benefit deductions, review payroll adjustments, and identify discrepancies prior to payroll submission for processing.
- Manage global time-off administration, including ownership of vacation, sick leave, personal leave, statutory leave, and other paid and unpaid time-off programs across all countries and jurisdictions where employees are located.
- Maintain and administer country-specific time-off policies, rules, accruals, eligibility requirements, carryover provisions, and statutory requirements to ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
- Maintain oversight of payroll tax registrations, jurisdiction setup, tax withholding requirements, and regulatory updates across all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
- Review ADP SmartCompliance reports, tax filings, agency notices, and compliance alerts to identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and coordinate timely resolution.
- Ensure compliance with applicable payroll, tax, wage and hour, and employment regulations in all jurisdictions where employees are located.
- Maintain employee payroll records, earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, direct deposits, and benefit deductions.
- Oversee payroll tax reporting, filings, reconciliations, and year-end processing.
- Partner with Finance to reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and support month-end and year-end close activities.
- Review payroll reports and conduct regular audits to ensure payroll accuracy and data integrity.
- Manage payroll interfaces between HRIS, timekeeping, benefits, finance, retirement, and third-party payroll systems.
- Partner with HR Operations to ensure employee lifecycle transactions (new hires, promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, terminations, and compensation changes) are accurately reflected in payroll.
- Develop, document, and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve payroll issues in a timely and professional manner.
Coordinate internal and external payroll audits and support compliance initiatives.
- Monitor changes in payroll legislation and ensure timely implementation of regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes through automation, system enhancements, and operational efficiencies.
- Prepare payroll metrics, reports, and analytics for leadership.
- Lead payroll-related projects, including system implementations, acquisitions, organizational changes, and process improvement initiatives.
- Train, mentor, and develop payroll team members while fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement in a player/coach capacity.

What you will bring to the table…
- 7 or more years of progressive payroll experience, including payroll leadership responsibilities.
- Experience processing payroll for multi-state and/or multinational organizations.
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN).
- Experience managing payroll tax compliance, reconciliations, and year-end payroll activities.
- Experience working with third-party international payroll providers.
- Experience partnering with HR Operations, Finance, Internal Audit, Tax, Accounting, Benefits, and external payroll providers.
- Demonstrated knowledge of payroll compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Experience supporting audits and implementing payroll process improvements.
- Advanced knowledge of payroll administration and payroll compliance.
- Extensive experience managing payroll through ADP Workforce Now (WFN) or comparable HRIS/payroll solutions.
- Experience coordinating payroll across multiple countries and working with global payroll providers.
- Knowledge of payroll taxation, wage and hour regulations, and employment compliance.
- Experience with payroll accounting, reconciliations, and general ledger processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookup functions, formulas, and data analysis.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret payroll legislation and implement regulatory changes.
- Excellent project management and process improvement capabilities.
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality.
- Experience documenting and improving payroll processes and internal controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Global Payroll Management certification preferred.
- ADP Workforce Now training or certification preferred.
- Ongoing professional development in payroll compliance and employment regulations is encouraged.

Salaried Roles
The salary range for this role is $115,00-$125,000 annually . The total compensation package for this position is negotiable and may also include annual performance bonus, ESPP, enhanced time off packages and benefits. This job doesn't have an expiration date and will remain open until a qualified candidate is hired.
