Job Title: Project Management Consultant Contract Coordinator (Associate, 05 Years) Job Description
The Contract Coordinator oversees contractors and vendors on wind turbine restoration projects, ensuring all field activities are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This on-site role supports the overall management of assigned construction and restoration projects, with a focus on compliance with safety standards, design requirements, and industry best practices for catastrophically failed wind turbines.
Responsibilities
- Oversee contractors and vendors performing construction and restoration work on wind towers, including activities related to catastrophically failed wind turbines.
- Remain on site whenever vendors or field teams are working on wind towers to provide continuous supervision and coordination.
- Support the clean-up of the collapsed wind tower, including oversight of excavation, demo, and material handling activities.
- Coordinate and supervise foundation inspections and the eventual recommissioning of the tower with new replacement hardware.
- Assess productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance across all assigned projects.
- Participate in walk-downs of planned work and validate acceptance of completed work against design requirements and industry standards.
- Review contractor payment requests and confirm that work performed aligns with contractual obligations and project specifications.
- Verify constructability of planned work, ensure proper resource allocation, assess field status, and resolve issues as they arise.
- Coordinate project activities with vendors, suppliers, regulatory agencies, local community officials, and internal project stakeholders.
- Assist with scope control, budget oversight, resolution of technical issues, performance reporting, scheduling, and tracking work-in-progress.
- Interface with landowners, local regulators, and state agencies to support project execution and regulatory compliance.
- Reinforce expectations related to safety, procedure compliance, lessons learned, corrective actions, and appropriate work behaviors for employees and contractor staff.
- Coordinate activities involving safety programs, engineering, construction, budget, analytics, and contract administration to support project goals.
- Interface with the projects designated management committee to provide updates, report issues, and support decision-making.
- Ensure that field work, including excavation, electrical bypass, demolition, tower erection, hot work (such as welding and cutting), and heavy machinery operations, is performed safely and in accordance with industry standards.
- Oversee the use of heavy machinery such as diggers, excavators, and cranes, ensuring safe operation and adherence to project specifications.
- Monitor material handling practices, including environmental considerations and spill protection, to maintain compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
- Help ensure that project tasks stay as close as possible to the overall schedule by coordinating vendor teams and supporting the project manager.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support successful completion of wind turbine restoration and construction projects.
Essential Skills
- 05 years of experience in project coordination, construction supervision, or contract management in a field environment.
- Hands-on experience overseeing construction or restoration activities, preferably involving wind turbines or similar large-scale industrial equipment.
- Demonstrated understanding of field activities such as excavation, electrical bypass, demolition, tower erection, and hot work (welding, cutting).
- Experience overseeing heavy machinery operations, including diggers, excavators, and cranes, with a strong focus on safety.
- Knowledge of safe material handling practices, including environmental considerations and spill protection.
- Ability to assess productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance in a construction or project setting.
- Skill in coordinating multiple vendor teams and contractors to align work with project schedules and objectives.
- Ability to participate in technical walk-downs, validate work against design requirements, and support constructability reviews.
- Strong awareness of safety standards, industry best practices, and procedure compliance in construction and restoration environments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, regulators, community officials, landowners, and internal stakeholders.
- Capacity to remain on site for extended periods and supervise field work whenever activities are in progress.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in wind energy, wind turbine construction, or wind farm operations is highly beneficial.
- Background in construction, engineering, or related technical fields supporting complex infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with performance reporting, budget oversight, and work-in-progress tracking for construction projects.
- Experience interfacing with regulatory agencies and local community officials on project-related matters.
- Ability to support scope control and resolution of technical issues in collaboration with project management and engineering teams.
- Comfort working within cross-functional groups such as safety programs, engineering, construction, budget, analytics, and contract administration.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when reviewing contractor payment requests and verifying contractual compliance.
- Ability to reinforce safety culture and promote lessons learned and corrective actions among employees and contractor staff.
Work Environment
This is a fully on-site role at a wind project location, requiring travel to the site and presence 100% of the time when field activities are in progress. The typical schedule involves working six days per week, with 10-hour days, and overtime is compensated at a premium rate. The environment is a field-based construction and restoration setting focused on wind turbine infrastructure, including activities such as excavation, electrical bypass, demolition, tower erection, hot work, heavy machinery operation, and material handling. Work is performed outdoors and around large industrial equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety, adherence to industry standards, and environmental protection. Team members collaborate closely with vendors, contractors, engineering, safety, and regulatory stakeholders in a dynamic, project-driven environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Juno Beach, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
