About this role

The Field Leadership Development & Enablement Manager curates, develops, and manages leadership development programs, content, and enablement resources for Market Directors and Market Developers. This role serves as the enablement lever for field leadership growth, retention, and development. Partnering closely with the Field Development Director, this role translates enterprise strategy, leadership expectations, and business priorities into scalable learning experiences, practical tools, and field-ready resources that strengthen leadership capability and improve business outcomes.

This role serves as the operational and content lead for field leadership development, ensuring leaders have the resources, guidance, and development support needed to drive recruiting success, advisor productivity, advice adoption, market growth, coaching effectiveness, and overall field performance.

This can be a remote position within in the US.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership Development & Enablement

- Curate, manage and continuously improve leadership development content, playbooks, facilitator guides, coaching tools, case studies, and job aids for Market Directors and Market Developers.

- Translate business priorities, leadership expectations, performance measures, and field initiatives into practical development resources and learning experiences.

- Build role-based development pathways that support leader growth, capability building, and performance improvement.

- Ensure development content remains current, accessible, and aligned to Thrivent's strategy, leadership competencies, and field expectations.

Field Leadership Support

- Identify, curate, and coordinate resources that strengthen leader effectiveness in recruiting, selection, onboarding, coaching, joint fieldwork, productivity improvement, advice adoption, business planning, and market performance.

- Support development initiatives that enable Market Directors to build capacity, grow markets, and improve business outcomes.

- Support development initiatives that enable Market Developers to accelerate new FP launch, productivity, coaching effectiveness, and advisor growth.

- Maintain and evolve key leadership resources, playbooks, and development programs.

Program Management & Execution

- Manage planning and execution for leadership development programs, cohorts, forums, workshops, and ongoing development initiatives.

- Coordinate communications, materials, logistics, pre-work, post-work, follow-up activities, and stakeholder engagement.

- Maintain development calendars, resource libraries, and program infrastructure.

- Partner with field leaders and enterprise stakeholders to develop integrated and field-ready solutions.

Communication & Resource Management

- Manage leadership communications, toolkits, resource hubs, FAQs, and enablement materials.

- Ensure leaders have timely access to resources, expectations, and development support.

- Package content in practical, user-friendly formats that drive adoption and execution.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

- Monitor participation, utilization, feedback, and effectiveness of development programs and resources.

- Identify capability gaps and recommend enhancements to content, tools, and development experiences.

- Support reporting and insights that help connect leadership development efforts to recruiting, productivity, advice adoption, market growth, and overall performance outcomes.

This role will collaborate across field leadership and enterprise teams to support the development, enablement, and performance of Market Directors and Market Developers. Because these roles are measured across a broad set of outcomes, including recruiting and capacity growth, NFA launch and productivity, Advice adoption, joint fieldwork, total sales and leadership effectiveness, this position will regularly partner with the field training team, onboarding team, design team, Advice COE, recruiting partners, wholesalers, business execution, field leaders (executive committees), and other subject matter experts. These interactions ensure leadership development resources are aligned, practical, field-ready, and connected to measurable business priorities and outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Required:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

- 5-7 years of experience in leadership development, learning and development, sales enablement, field enablement, program management, or related disciplines.

- Strong writing, instructional design, content development, and communication skills.

- Experience creating learning materials, toolkits, presentations, guides, and development resources.

- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

- Ability to translate business strategy and performance expectations into clear development solutions.

- Strong collaboration, consultation, and relationship management skills.

- Experience leveraging performance data, feedback, and insights to improve development outcomes.

Preferred:

- Experience supporting field leadership, financial services, recruiting, advisor development, or sales organizations.

- Knowledge of Thrivent's field structure, leadership model, and advice-led strategy.

- Experience designing leadership development programs, curriculum, facilitator guides, or playbooks.

- Experience supporting large-scale change, communication, and enablement initiatives.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $94,389.00 - $127,703.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
