Position Summary
The Industrial Journeyman Pipefitter is responsible for assembling, laying out, installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial piping systems and related components in a safe and efficient manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Industrial Pipefitter or Pipefitter Helper
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Working knowledge of industrial pipefitting procedures and techniques
- Experience working on industrial construction or maintenance projects
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work scope, material requirements, and installation procedures
- Identify tools and equipment required for assigned tasks
- Recognize workplace hazards and implement appropriate safety measures
- Fabricate, prepare, install, and fit pipe according to project specifications
- Install valves, flanges, hangers, supports, and other piping components
- Perform quality checks and testing on piping systems
- Safely move and position materials using rigging equipment, including slings, chains, shackles, hooks, and cables
- Follow all site and company safety requirements
Required Qualifications
- Proven industrial construction and/or maintenance experience
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and technical documents
- Knowledge of industrial piping installation and maintenance practices
- Strong understanding of pipefitting processes and procedures
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications
- NCCER Pipefitter Certification
- Formal technical or vocational training
- Previous employment with ZACHRY
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb throughout the workday
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in industrial environments and varying weather conditions
- Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and work at heights while utilizing proper fall protection
- Ability to work in confined spaces when required
- Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, and steel-toe boots
Tools & Equipment
- Employees must provide basic tools required to support their craft.
- Site-specific PPE will be provided.
- Additional tools and equipment may be supplied by the site as needed.
