More about the role:

We're looking for an Account Director to support consumer communications work across two global brands in the wellness sector. You'll help lead product launches, planning and execution, build earned-media strategies, and serve as a trusted day-to-day partner to high-touch clients.

Your work will span Nutrition, Health Tech, and an Oral Care portfolio. You'll join both immediate launch work and planning for future programs, bringing strong media judgment and culturally relevant ideas to the work. The ability to travel for events is required.

This is a hybrid role based in New York.

What you'll do:

- Lead planning and execution for consumer product launches, including Colgate oral care launches and Abbott work across Similac and Lingo.

- Develop earned-media strategies, media materials, and recommendations that help clients sustain product momentum.

- Build and maintain strong client relationships; present on client calls and help deliver a client-first experience.

- Guide junior team members, including reviewing their work and helping them develop client-service skills.

- Support media, influencer, and consumer-facing events, from planning through on-the-ground execution when needed.

- Bring awareness of news, culture, social trends, and consumer behavior into strategic recommendations.

- Help identify opportunities to expand client work, particularly within Abbott Nutrition.

Experience that contributes to success:

- Account management experience in communications, with the ability to manage priorities across multiple client workstreams.

- Strong earned-media experience and confidence developing media strategies and materials.

- Experience working directly with clients and presenting recommendations.

- Experience managing or mentoring junior team members.

- Strong attention to detail and sound judgment in a fast-moving client environment.

- Experience in event work, including media and influencer events and consumer-facing activations.

- Curiosity about culture, social trends, and the changing media landscape.

- Ability to travel to event launches anticipated for the end of Q4 and beginning of Q1.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range between: $60,000 — $140,000 USD
