Work Schedule : Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role's specific work requirements with you during the hiring process. All work requirements are subject to change at any time based on leader discretion and/or business need.


The Opportunity
As the Associate Analyst in Recoveries, you will drive the success of Ally’s recovery operations by serving as the primary liaison between third-party collection agencies, legal service providers, and internal stakeholders. This role oversees supplier performance and compliance monitoring, manages legal support activities, coordinates witness requests and travel logistics, responds to interrogatories and discovery requests, and leads process improvement initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness while balancing risk. The individual in this role will serve as an official representative and legal witness on behalf of Ally, appearing in court proceedings and providing testimony as needed. The ideal candidate is a highly professional and confident communicator who is comfortable in courtroom environments, can effectively represent the organization in legal matters, and is willing to travel frequently overnight to support business and court-related obligations.


The Work Itself
- May review any compliance/cost issues related to supplier
- May assist in developing/refining appropriate metrics to measure supplier performance
- May be responsible for assisting in supplier due diligence
- Travel to trials in order to serve as Ally witness, as need arises
- Research and understand discovery requests and work across business units to comply with the order
- Review and respond to interrogatories with accurate, factual information
- Develop and maintain contacts throughout all areas of the business to support defensive litigation and accurately respond to requests from the courts
- Delivers continuously improving year-on-year expense results and performance lift by improving processes and increasing productivity.
- Builds solid peer-to-peer relationships in a team environment to meet operational needs.
- Communicates effectively and clearly on a daily, weekly, monthly basis with vendors to provide exceptional service regarding routine and escalated requests.
- Supports rigorous quality, control and compliance programs to include an ongoing control/compliance self-assessment process.
- Performs data entry, system coding, inventory audits, reconciliations, etc. to ensure alignment between vendor systems and Ally systems.
- Responds promptly to vendor requests (information, data, letter generation, etc.) as needed. Advanced data entry and word processing skills.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills
- Computer skills sufficient to operate on-line system and complex software or develop formulas for moderately sophisticated spreadsheets
- Ability to exercise judgment to research and solve operational problems where the answer is not apparent
The Qualifications We’re Looking For
- 1+ years of Legal Operations highly desired
- 1+ years of Repossessions, Replevin, Remarketing, and/or Recovery Industry experience
- High level of executive presence
- High level of written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and effectively pivot in response to changing business needs and urgent requests.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, pivot tables, formulas, and trend identification.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint with the ability to develop professional presentations and communicate complex information effectively.
- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Must be an independent worker with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Project/Process Management framework knowledge and application preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments while prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel overnight (up to 40% +/-)

Base Pay Range
$47,840.00 - $75,000.00

An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.


Incentive Compensation:
This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
