Financial Support Specialist (Entry Level)

One Federal Solution (OFS) is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Support Specialist to support our Federal Government client in Arlington, VA. This position will provide financial, accounting, budget, and compliance support within a federal environment. The ideal candidate will have a foundational background in accounting or finance, experience reviewing financial information, and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

- Review accounting practices and financial documentation for compliance with applicable federal laws, regulations, government accounting practices, and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) guidance.
- Review and analyze financial statements and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Assist in identifying discrepancies, improper expenditures, and other financial issues requiring corrective action.
- Support the preparation of budget requests and other financial documentation for office operations.
- Organize, review, and maintain financial records and supporting documentation.
- Perform financial research, analysis, reconciliation, and reporting as needed.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and other office applications to prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, and documentation.
- Provide general financial and administrative support to the Government client.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- General knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial analysis.
- Experience with financial reporting, reconciliation, budgeting, accounting, audit support, or similar financial functions preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work onsite in Arlington, VA.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
