This is a full-time, limited duration position is expected to last through 6/30/2027.This position is headquartered at HECC’s Salem office and is represented by SEIU. The successful candidate may be eligible for in-state hybrid work, which consists of performing duties onsite in a standard office environment and working remotely. This position will be required to be in person in our Salem office 2 days per week.

The Work at a Glance
- Review and sort general OSAC email boxes. Draft and send template responses in consultation with grant and scholarships administrators.
- Provides customer service via phone and email to students, parents, high school staff, college and university staff, and partners related to OSAC application completion, FAFSA and ORSAA completion, portal and transcript assistance, and grant and scholarship eligibility requirements and awarding.
- Follows up on rejected application, missing documents, and transcript uploads, contacts applicants and schools regarding application and transcript issues.
- Send email communications to students regarding application reminders and deadlines, required FAFSA/ORSAA submissions, authorized and not authorized award notifications, and other important program updates.
- Assists students with completion of the OSAC scholarship and grant applications, and ORSAA.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot student issues in the ORSAA and grant application process.

What We Need (Minimum Qualifications)
Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing , or other experience generating documents; OR an associate degree in any field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

The Fine Print
Salary Range: The range listed is the Non-PERS salary range. Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) participating members will have their base salary increased by 6.95% and pay a 6% employee contribution to PERS.
Future Vacancies: This recruitment announcement will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur. This position may become permanent if future funding becomes available.
