Communicable Disease Clinic and Outreach Manager
Under the direct supervision of the Disease Control Director, the incumbent will lead the Division of Disease Control and Health Protection’s Clinical and Outreach Operations, including immunization and hepatitis outreach, tuberculosis control and refugee health. This includes complex technical, analytical, and consultative work which involves disease surveillance, assessment, management, program analysis, and program planning in Pinellas County.
Your Specific Responsibilities:
- Coordinate operations and directly supervises assigned staff in the following areas: TB, Refugee Health, Immunization and Hepatitis Outreach
- Monitor and maintains all records and program standards in accordance with all applicable regulations
- Lead program budget activities including, planning, preparation, purchasing and tracking
- Lead analysis and consultation for program planning, activities and evaluation
- Ensure agency-wide management and compliance with immunization storage, inventory and distribution
- Lead Disease Control Outreach activities and coordination, including immunizations and hepatitis screening
- Establishe and implement program reports to monitor data quality
- Provide oversight of hepatitis prevention activities in the community, including provider consultations, testing and disease reporting follow-up
- Conduct or participates in communicable disease alerts as necessary to contain the spread of communicable diseases
- Provide information on the prevention, transmission, surveillance and control of diseases to community, clients, or health care professional groups
- Coordinate with Public Health Preparedness in preparation for outbreaks or public health emergencies
- Provide monitoring, evaluation, quality assurance and timeliness checks of programs' performance and compliance with appropriate statutes, program office and the CDC
- Prepare surveillance reports, data summaries, and other written documentation for publication, presentation, or dissemination.
- Participate in Strategic Planning data and agency-wide quality improvement teams
- Coordinate with other Divisions to ensure the appropriate client care and management in our public health clinics
- Create a training site culture by building and maintaining training plans, providing on-the-job training oversight, professional development, performance evaluations, and programmatic feedback.
- Consult with Clinical Leadership, Executive Leadership and the Director’s Office on projects of agency and/or community wide interest.
- Perform duties and responsibilities of an information and key custodian as described in the Department of Health’s Information and Security Policies, Protocols and Procedures as outlined in Protocol: Security 3, Pinellas County Health Department’s Supplemental Information Security Policy 3 and Protocol: Security 6(V).

Qualifications
Minimum
At least one-year of experience in professional program management
Preferred:
- Masters Degree in Public Health or equivalent
- Minimum three years of experience of program management and oversight
- Previous budget preparation and purchasing experience
- Proficient in health data management
