The Arizona Humane Society is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician Training Coordinator to join our dedicated team! This role offers a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule with a primary base at our Papago Park Campus, though flexibility to travel between all three of our campuses is essential. A Day in the Life:

As the Veterinary Technician Training Coordinator, you'll play a key role in developing and supporting our veterinary technicians through comprehensive onboarding, hands-on training, and skills validation. Working closely with medical leadership, you'll lead clinical training sessions, coach new and promoted technicians, and ensure consistency with AHS standards in patient care, anesthesia, and surgical support. You'll also coordinate onboarding schedules, assess progress, update training materials, and provide feedback to strengthen performance and program effectiveness all while helping advance our mission to save animal lives.

Job Requirements :

- High school diploma/GED required

- At least 21 years old

- Valid driver's license required

- 3+ years of clinical experience as a Veterinary Technician

- Expertise in clinical procedures, laboratory and diagnostics, patient care, and animal handling

- Demonstrated ability to provide feedback and guidance to others

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles

- Previous teaching or training experience preferred

- Previous experience as an AHS Veterinary Technician II preferred

- CVT certification is a plus

- Excellent attention to detail, administrative, and organizational skills, with the ability to organize and track the progress of multiple Veterinary Technicians

- Proficiency with, or ability to learn, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and other software programs as necessary

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must be able to hear above the sound of the animals. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. There will be exposure to dust, heat, cold and temperature changes; occasional wet floors, and animal noises, odors and dander. Most time will be spent in a typical air conditioned and heated office environment.
