The Senior Technician, Facilities is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation, upkeep, and reliability of facility systems and infrastructure to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing environment. is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing facility HVAC systems, with a primary focus on rooftop units (RTUs). This position performs preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and equipment upgrades to ensure reliable operation of building environmental systems. The role requires advanced HVAC/R technical expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to independently diagnose and repair mechanical and refrigeration components, while maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation. Working closely with cross-functional teams and external contractors, the Senior Technician helps ensure reliability, uninterrupted business operations, and a workplace that enables teams to focus on delivering life-changing solutions for patients.

How you'll make an impact:

- Serve as a subject matter expert for HVAC systems and support operational excellence, regulatory compliance, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on rooftop units (RTUs) and associated HVAC equipment, that includes but is not limited to the following:
- Inspect, clean, and replace air filters according to maintenance schedules.
- Clean evaporator and condenser coils to maintain system efficiency and performance.
- Inspect belts, pulleys, motors, bearings, dampers, and electrical components.
- Verify proper refrigerant levels, airflow, temperature differentials, and equipment operating parameters.
- Perform a wider range of routine, which may include on-call and weekend work orders including employee moves, office set ups and changes, setup and tear down of furniture and fixtures, meetings, events, and conferences with high customer satisfaction while adhering to company standards.
- Diagnose and repair HVAC/R system failures, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration-related issues.
- Troubleshoot compressors, motors, fans, control circuits, sensors, thermostats, contactors, relays, and VFDs.
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency service calls to minimize operational downtime.
- Perform daily logging and inspection of facilities systems including production facility environmental support systems to ensure operations within specifications.
- Obtain quotes and initiate purchase requests for maintenance and renovation work.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.

What you'll need (Required):

- H.S. Diploma or equivalent with 3+ years maintaining commercial or industrial HVAC systems
- Working knowledge in two or more of the related fields including plumbing, lighting, carpentry, and painting

What else we look for (Preferred):

- Certification in a related area - HVAC, electrician, welding, machining, etc.
- Experience working in a regulated industry
- Good communication skills
- Good computer skills, including MS Office and computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Ability to use hand and power tools and read and understand blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications
- Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams
- Ability to represent the organization to outside contacts, e.g., contractors, vendors, suppliers
- Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
