Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack

Summary

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain software products that support Vizient’s business objectives and technology strategy. You will solve complex technical challenges, contribute to the delivery of scalable enterprise solutions, and bring innovative perspectives to the use of existing technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence technical direction, and mentor engineers while supporting the delivery of solutions for strategic initiatives, including Project Ascension.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, deploy, support, and maintain enterprise software applications.
- Develop software solutions for complex initiatives spanning multiple technology domains and systems.
- Lead story refinement, estimation, and backlog grooming activities to support Agile delivery.
- Drive feature-level architecture and design discussions that promote scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Contribute to product-level architecture decisions and long-term technology strategy.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, engineers, and business teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Recommend improvements to engineering standards, development practices, and operational processes.
- Identify emerging technologies, technical trends, and opportunities to improve solution delivery.
- Mentor engineers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and code review activities.
- Support Agile development practices, including continuous integration, automated testing, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

- Relevant degree in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering preferred.
- 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
- Experience with SQL development, database design, query optimization, and DDL/DML operations required.
- Java/C#/.NET development while utilizing technologies such as Spring Boot, Spring Java, Spring MVC, JPA or similar experience required.
- Experience developing front-end applications using JavaScript frameworks, preferably Angular required.
- Experience building and supporting RESTful APIs and integrated application architectures required.
- Experience with Agile delivery, TDD, CI/CD, and effective use of Copilot/AI-assisted development preferred.
- EDI/document integration experience; Boomi or Axway preferred.
- Experience working in Agile development environments utilizing continuous integration, automated testing, and modern engineering practices preferred.
- Experience working within enterprise-scale distributed software development environments preferred.
- Experience with cloud technologies required, Microsoft Azure preferred.

Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $81,900.00 to $161,100.00.
