Leader, International Payroll

RH is seeking a Leader, International Payroll to own end-to-end payroll operations for Italy while providing expertise and support across additional international markets based on business needs. This role will serve as a trusted authority for international payroll, accountable for delivering accurate, timely and compliant payroll experiences while strengthening operational controls, influencing cross-functional partnerships and advancing payroll practices across our global organization.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

- Own end-to-end payroll operations for Italy, with accountability for payroll accuracy, timeliness, compliance and adherence to local statutory requirements and applicable collective bargaining agreements

- Provide payroll expertise across additional international countries as business needs evolve, ensuring operational continuity, consistent standards and appropriate local compliance

- Oversee and validate payroll data and outputs with external providers, identifying risks, resolving complex discrepancies and ensuring issues are addressed within critical payroll timelines

- Own payroll execution and approvals within Neeyamo Payroll 3.0, including payslips, funding instructions, payroll controls and required Finance reporting

- Serve as a trusted payroll authority and strategic partner to Human Resources, Finance, Legal and external providers, driving alignment, strengthening internal controls and resolving complex payroll matters

- Own payroll reconciliations, reporting and compliance documentation while supporting month-end close, audits, SOX requirements and broader Finance and Human Resources initiatives

- Interpret evolving payroll and employment regulations, assess operational impact and recommend appropriate changes to processes, controls and local practices

- Resolve complex team member matters and government correspondence, develop knowledge resources and establish clear payroll standards for local teams

- Identify and drive opportunities to elevate payroll operations through stronger processes, technology, governance and continuous improvement across international markets

OUR REQUIREMENTS

- 15+ years of global payroll operations experience supporting multiple countries, with demonstrated ownership of complex international payroll environments

- Master’s degree in a related field

- Extensive knowledge of employment, payroll and statutory requirements across multiple countries within the EU and UK, with deep expertise in Italian payroll

- Extensive experience with global payroll platforms, including Neeyamo Payroll 3.0, as well as Human Resources, Finance and productivity technologies such as Oracle HCM, Dayforce, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office

- Fluency in English and Italian

- Exceptional judgment, organization, accuracy and attention to detail, with demonstrated success owning complex work, solving critical issues and influencing partners across Human Resources, Finance and external organizations

- Strong ownership mindset with the confidence to make informed decisions, establish clear standards and drive work forward in a fast-paced, highly collaborative international environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Complete work at a computer and remain in a stationary position for the majority of the workday

- Communicate effectively in person and through written and digital channels

- Occasionally attend virtual or in-person meetings across multiple time zones
