Overview Microsoft has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer II in the Cloud+AI Azure Data team. As part of a core product engineering group, you will develop features, improvements, enhancements, and bugfixes within Azure Data products which are used by Microsoft’s worldwide customer base. Within Azure Data, the usage billing team builds the next-generation data platform for reliable ingestion, aggregation and processing of usage emitted at high volume by Microsoft. This is a mission critical service built for scale, compliance and data guarantees also leveraging our world class Azure Data real time messaging, streaming and analytics services to ensure critical billing usage data to flow into revenue for Microsoft.. In this role, Software Engineer II, you will have the opportunity to work with engineers who enable a broad set of Azure services to be consumed by internal and external customers in highly secured and regulated industries. Responsibilities <div>Design and build scalable, secure, and reliable solutions for Azure Data services, ensuring high quality and modularity.</div>Improve test coverage, implement integration tests, and address issues to enhance service reliability and maintainability. Automate production and deployment processes, running code in non-production environments to ensure functionality. Uphold compliance with security, privacy, safety, and accessibility standards, and demonstrate product compliance. Integrate telemetry and data analytics to monitor system health, drive product refinement, and inform engineering decisions. Maintain live service operations, respond promptly to incidents, and implement solutions to complex issues as they arise. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,800 - $219,200 per year.
