Job Summary
Responsible for conducting in-process and final quality inspections of manufactured products to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, workmanship standards, and customer requirements. The role performs inspections and quality audits throughout the manufacturing process, identifies and reports non-conformances, maintains inspection records, and supports corrective and continuous improvement activities. The position also performs final product inspection and photo documentation prior to product release.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-process inspections at designated stages of manufacturing to ensure products meet specified quality requirements.
- Perform final QC inspections of finished products prior to release or shipment.
- Conduct quality audits and inspections based on approved drawings, specifications, work instructions, and inspection criteria.
- Verify product dimensions, workmanship, appearance, labeling, and other applicable quality requirements.
- Perform and document inspection results accurately and timely.
- Take and maintain photo documentation of finished products and identified quality issues where required.
- Identify, document, and report non-conforming products or processes and support appropriate containment actions.
- Work closely with Production and other relevant functions to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Verify that corrective actions have been implemented and are effective where applicable.
- Maintain inspection records, reports, and other quality documentation for traceability and audit purposes.
- Support internal, customer, and external quality audits as required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, procedures, work instructions, and customer requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve product quality and reduce defects.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical qualification or relevant certification is an advantage.
- Previous experience in QC inspection, quality control, manufacturing, or a related environment.
- Experience performing in-process and final inspection of manufactured products.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and inspection criteria.
- Basic knowledge of measurement tools and inspection equipment such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring devices.
- Good understanding of quality control practices and non-conformance identification.
- Good documentation, reporting, and data recording skills.
- Good attention to detail and ability to identify product defects or deviations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet inspection schedules.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with Production and other departments.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
