About the Role
As our Volunteer Coordinator, youll recruit, onboard and support the volunteers who make our programs possible, and support the volunteer experience during corporate volunteer days and special events like our annual Turkey Trot. Youll build lasting relationships with volunteers and partner across our organization to make sure the right people are in the right roles, doing meaningful work that supports our mission.
In this role, you will:
- Recruit and welcome new volunteers, matching their skills and interests to where we need them most.
- Lead orientation and training so volunteers feel prepared and confident.
- Serve as an ongoing, trusted point of contact for our volunteer community
- Coordinate the volunteer experience for corporate volunteer days and special events.
- Recognize and celebrate our volunteers throughout the year.
- Maintain accurate volunteer records and reporting.

Who were looking for
A collaborative, mission-driven people-focused professional with:
- 1-2 years of experience in volunteer coordination, recruiting, community engagement, or a related people-facing role.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey information in a timely, open, and clear manner.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and coordinate effectively across departments.
- Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple moving pieces at once.
- Familiarity with youth development principles, behavior management, guidance, outcomes evaluation, collaboration, and program management.
- Comfort working a schedule that includes regular afternoon hours, occasional daytime commitments, and required availability on Thanksgiving Day for the Turkey Trot.
- Reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of and ability to effectively use computers, software, and other technology tools.
Location:
- This role is based at our Appleton Club and supports a multi-site workplace; regular on-site presence is expected. We are not able to offer relocation assistance.
Schedule:
- Generally Monday through Thursday, 1:00-6:00 pm, with occasional flexibility needed for daytime corporate volunteer events, special events, and monthly team training.
