Starting Salary : £30,000 per annum (Subject to review)

Location :   Amey Highways office, Tatton House, 11 Caldey Road, Manchester, M239LF

Working hours per week: Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, 37.5 hours per week. Occasional weekend and night site work will be classed as overtime.

Start date : April 2026

Amey is working in partnership with Trafford Council to deliver a wide range of Environmental and Infrastructure Services. Trafford currently ranks in the top 10 boroughs in England for recycling 61.3% of its waste which is recyclable. Our waste collection teams ensure waste is collected from 97,000 households as well as commercial businesses within the Trafford borough. Our street cleansing teams work hard to keep our streets looking great, emptying over 1,600 litter bins. As well as our grounds maintenance teams who are responsible for managing and maintaining 37 parks and green spaces across the borough. By combining these services, we can support the council with efficiency savings alongside ensuring a high-quality service is delivered to residents. Every year we give our people the opportunity to step away from their day job, to support local good causes that make a real difference. Supporting communities is important to us, which is why all employees can spend two days a year out in the community.

What you will do:

- Implement commercial processes for cost capture, valuation, procurement and reporting .

- Submit applications for payment in a timely manner and agree accounts with clients and contracts.

- Ensure maximum recovery of all contractual entitlements .

- Assist in preparing commercial reports, including monthly Cost Value Reconciliation reports, cash flows, budgets and forecasts.

- Liaise with Operations teams to ensure costs and value are correctly coded.

- Manage subcontractor accounts in line with agreed subcontract agreements and Amey processes for certification, payment and liability.

- Manage all aspects of subcontract procurement .

- Provide commercial support as required or directed.

What you will bring:

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, keen to learn and ready to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative team.

- Minimum 2:2 degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.

- Full UK driving licence.
