Project Associate – Reporting

Since the inception of IOM in 1951, Movement Operations have been and continue to be a fundamental pillar of the Organization’s work. The organized movement of persons in need of international migration assistance is a primary mandate of the Organization and a cornerstone of IOM’s operations. Movement Operations units in various IOM Country Offices (COs), coordinated under the Resettlement and Movement Management (RMM) Unit in the Division of Movement, Resettlement and Labour Pathways (MRLP) at IOM’s Headquarters, are responsible for all aspects of travel for migrants and refugees under IOM’s auspices, in accordance with the various framework agreements with resettlement and receiving Governments and partners across the spectrum of the Organization's programmes.

Migrant Training activities - including Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO), Cultural Orientation (CO), and Post-Arrival Orientation (PAO) - are an integral component of IOM’s MRLP Division, equipping migrants with essential knowledge and skills to support their successful integration and self- sufficiency in destination countries. Training programmes are implemented globally under the framework of the MRLP Division and are tailored to meet the specific needs of beneficiaries, in close coordination with partner organizations and governments.

Under the overall supervision of the AUSCO Global Coordinator and the direct supervision of the National Project Officer, the Project Associate – Reporting will be responsible for supporting programme monitoring and reporting activities of the Australian Cultural Orientation Programme (AUSCO). The position will assist in compiling, verifying and maintaining programme data and records, preparing routine statistical and programme reports, coordinating information requests, and monitoring reporting schedules and deadlines. The incumbent will work closely with programme staff, delivery locations, country offices and implementing partners to facilitate the timely and accurate provision of programme information and reporting outputs, in accordance with established procedures, systems and reporting requirements.sufficiency in destination countries. EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Refugee and Migration Studies, International Relations, Law or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience; or,

• High School diploma with five years of relevant professional experience.

EXPERIENCE

• Experience in data management, reporting and/or information management;

• Experience in working with migrants, civil society and government is an advantage;

• Prior experience working for IOM, a UN agency, or another international organization is an advantage; and,

• Applicants must have the ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Baseline security clearance.
