Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Software Testing Apprentice to join our Quality Assurance team. The apprentice will gain hands-on experience in software testing, defect identification, test documentation, and quality assurance processes while working closely with developers, business analysts, and experienced QA engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand business requirements and software specifications.
- Prepare and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
- Perform functional, regression, integration and system testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using tools such as Jira or similar defect-management systems.
- Re-test defects after fixes and verify that issues have been resolved.
- Participate in test planning and review requirements for testability.
- Maintain clear and accurate test documentation and execution reports.
- Collaborate with developers and QA team members to investigate and resolve issues.
- Perform basic API testing using tools such as Postman.
- Learn and work with basic SQL/database queries for data validation.
- Follow the organization's software development and QA processes.
- Continuously learn testing best practices, tools, and methodologies.
Required Skills
Basic understanding of Software Testing / QA concepts.
Knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
Understanding of defect life cycle.
Ability to write clear and effective test cases.
Basic knowledge of SQL.
Basic understanding of API testing is an advantage.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to learn new technologies and testing tools.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree / diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Fresh graduates with relevant academic projects or testing knowledge are encouraged to apply.
