WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

SimCorp's AI & Insights area is building the foundation for the agentic future of investment operations: Running SimCorp agents, leveraging partner agents, and integrating with clients workflows. The AI Platform team owns that foundation: a compliant, standardized, secure, and user-friendly agentic ecosystem that domain teams can leverage when building their AI features.

The team's recent deliveries and current focus include preparing Agent Orchestrator and SimCorp One Neo for production, publishing the Agent Development Stack, implementing evaluation, trust, safety and guardrails, progressing multi-agent orchestration, and exploring MCP for SimCorp One APIs.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

The Principal Software Engineer at SimCorp, is a senior technical role responsible for designing, developing, and delivering complex software solutions that meet both business and client requirements. With typically 10+ years of experience, this role involves leading engineering projects, providing technical guidance, and ensuring the scalability, performance, and quality of software systems. The Principal Software Engineer collaborates closely with product management, design, and other engineering teams to define technical solutions and integrate them into the product development lifecycle. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, expertise in software engineering practices, and the ability to mentor junior engineers.

- Lead the design and development of high-impact software systems and AI driven solutions, ensuring they meet business and client needs.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to other engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, architects, security, including product management and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of solutions into the product.
- Review and improve software design, architecture, and implementation to ensure performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality AI driven solutions in production.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices, continuously improving engineering processes and solutions.
- Contribute to the development, technical documentation, product backlog, and ensure alignment with product specifications and user requirements.
- Participate in code reviews, promoting and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices in software development.
- Driving innovation in software engineering, continuously improving processes, tools, and methodology.

- 10+ years of extensive hands-on experience in C# .Net development.
- Demonstrated expertise of 5+ years in designing and implementing AI solutions, including both generative and predictive AI.
- Comprehensive understanding and practical experience with application architecture, covering both frontend and backend systems
- Proven proficiency in working with Azure and Azure DevOps.
- Strong experience with Agile development methodologies, as well as DevOps and CI/CD practices
