About the Role:

We're hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain SOAR connectors that integrate third-party security platforms with Falcon Fusion, and build/maintain platform services that provide core orchestration and workflow capabilities to all users of CrowdStrike's flagship Falcon Platform.

Falcon Fusion – a core 'tier one' offering in our Flagship Platform, Falcon – is the Falcon product used by customers to automate breach remediations within their environments. It also serves as the runtime of apps built by our Foundry Module, and is 'dogfooded' by us internally to automate other workflows and speed up development. With these many varied uses, it can be responsible for processing anywhere from 500M to 10B+ events/day and is in use by essentially every single customer of the Falcon Platform.

This role is for an experienced backend microservices developer adept with cloud engineering principles. Your passion and meticulous attention to performance, reliability and scalability will be key ingredients to your success here at CrowdStrike.

What You'll Do:

- Build production-grade SOAR connectors that integrate security platforms (SIEM, EDR, ticketing, IAM) with Falcon Fusion at scale, and contribute to the core platform services that power connector execution, authentication, and orchestration.
- Drive architectural decisions for connector platform design, evaluating tradeoffs between scalability,reliability, and developer experience
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on distributed systems design, authentication protocols, and production operations best practices
- You'll own connectors end-to-end—from API research through deployment and production support—while improving the platform capabilities (auth systems, testing frameworks, deployment pipelines) that all connectors depend on
- Research, evaluate, and integrate new security platforms and APIs to expand our connector portfolio
- Develop both connectors and platform services, working with authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, API keys) at both the connector and platform layer
- Build and maintain automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines that ensure connector quality and reliability across multi-region deployments
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with existing connectors and platform services, taking operational ownership of incidents across our fleet of Falcon environments
- Write technical documentation including integration guides, API specifications, and troubleshooting runbooks

What You'll Need:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining multiple software products/systems/releases, preferably in a SaaS delivery model, across all phases of the development lifecycle
- Fluency in at least one programming language, preferably in Python or Go
- Proven expertise in building distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs
- Experience developing applications using SQL and NoSQL databases
- Deep expertise in building distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs with a track record of making architectural decisions at scale
- Hands-on experience in large-scale (distributed) system architecture, high scalability and availability, and optimization
- Strong debugging skills
- Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.
- Demonstrated track record of operational excellence when operating services that span many components across several geographical regions
- Strong communication skills; working collaboratively and confidently with internal stakeholders

- Experience with commercial clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Contributions to the open source community
- Golang experience
- Prior experience with (cybersecurity) platforms or integrations.
