About this role

Transport is at the core of modern society. Imagine using your expertise to shape sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions for the future. If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.

What you will do

At Volvo Group Lithuania you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large.

We are looking for a Payroll & People Operations Specialist who enjoys the precision of payroll just as much as the human side of People & Culture.

You will play an important role in making sure our employees are paid correctly and on time, while also supporting them and our managers throughout different stages of the employee journey. It is a role for someone who likes taking ownership, solving problems, improving processes and, above all, providing a great employee experience.

If you enjoy a role where numbers meet people, and where accuracy, collaboration and service mindset are equally important, this could be the right opportunity for you.

What you will do?

You will:

- Coordinate and ensure accurate and timely monthly payroll processing

- Prepare, review and validate payroll-related data and documentation

- Manage payroll inputs such as salary changes, bonuses, absences, benefits and other compensation-related information

- Cooperate with internal and external partners involved in payroll processes

- Respond to employees' and managers' payroll-related questions

- Ensure payroll activities are performed in line with local legislation, internal policies and agreed processes

- Support payroll reporting, reconciliations and year-end activities

- Identify opportunities to simplify and improve payroll processes

In addition to payroll, you will support a variety of People & Culture activities, including:

- Providing day-to-day support and guidance to employees and managers on P&C processes and policies

- Supporting benefits administration and other employee-related programs

- Maintaining high-quality employee data in HR systems

- Preparing P&C reports and providing data when needed

- Contributing to local and global P&C initiatives and projects

- Looking for opportunities to simplify, automate and continuously improve the way we work

Who are you?

Do you dream big? We do too, and we are excited to grow together.

You probably have:

- Previous experience in payroll, HR/People & Culture, or a combined payroll and HR role

- Good knowledge of Lithuanian employment and payroll-related legislation

- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

- Confidence working with numbers, data and HR/payroll systems

- Experience contributing to improvement, digitalization, and process development initiatives.

- Good Excel skills

- Very good Lithuanian and English language skills

- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism

Just as importantly, you are:

- Service-minded and enjoy supporting employees and managers

- Structured and able to prioritize when several things happen at the same time

- Curious and willing to learn

- Proactive rather than waiting for problems to appear

- Comfortable taking ownership of your responsibilities

- A collaborative colleague who enjoys being part of a team

What’s in it for you?

You will become part of a collaborative People & Culture environment where you will have an opportunity to develop your expertise beyond payroll and gain broader exposure to P&C processes.

We offer a solid package of compensation and benefits, plus you will enjoy:

- Joining a global and diverse team of highly skilled professionals who make customers win

- Opportunity to grow both personally and professionally

- Space to initiate and implement changes for customer success and prosperity of society

- Environment where we work with passion, trust each other, and embrace change to stay ahead

- Package of company benefits such as trainings, additional health insurance and more

Salary level: from 2500€ to 3400€ per month gross (before withholding taxes) depending on skills and experience. Also, annual bonus program will be applied in accordance with the Company policy.

Ready for the next move?

If you are looking for a role where you can combine your payroll expertise with a broader passion for People & Culture, we would be happy to hear from you.
