Your role
We are looking for an International Logistics Network Intern who will support the International Logistics team in monitoring logistics performance, analyzing transportation and warehouse flows, and identifying improvement opportunities across the global network.
The role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent Excel skills, and a proactive approach to support both day-to-day operations and future network optimization projects.
Main responsibilities:
- Analyze EssilorLuxottica's international logistics flows, monitoring transportation and warehouse performance across multiple trade lanes and regions through standardized KPIs.
- Perform detailed KPI analyses to identify operational trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities, supporting data-driven decision making.
- Develop and maintain reporting dashboards and performance monitoring tools, ensuring data accuracy and visibility across the organization.
- Analyze logistics performance by region, carrier, product category, warehouse, and transportation mode to identify optimization opportunities.
- Support the analysis of the current ("As Is") logistics network and contribute to the design of future ("To Be") logistics flows for implementation projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define logistics requirements and support transportation and warehouse process improvements.
- Contribute to the definition and monitoring of transportation and warehouse KPIs, ensuring alignment with global performance targets.
- Support international logistics projects by providing data analyses, simulations, and operational insights to improve efficiency and network scalability.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders worldwide, ensuring effective communication, timely follow-up, and alignment on logistics initiatives.
- Support the continuous improvement of logistics processes, including transportation, inbound, outbound, and warehouse activities, contributing to the redesign and optimization of operational flows when required.
Main requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, Power Query and automation tools are considered a strong plus).
- Ability to collect, structure, and analyze large volumes of data from multiple sources, transforming them into meaningful business insights.
- Ability to perform detailed performance analyses and support strategic decision-making through data.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with international stakeholders across different regions and functions.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Open-minded attitude, willingness to challenge existing processes, and ability to foster constructive discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a dynamic international environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Basic knowledge of transportation and warehouse operations within an international supply chain environment.
- Curiosity, continuous improvement mindset, and willingness to learn and grow within the Global Logistics organization.
