We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of Business Performance.

This is a high-profile leadership role at the centre of HSBC’s Channel Islands and Isle of Man business. As Head of Business Performance, you’ll help shape how the market plans, performs and grows, bringing together strategic planning, financial management, governance, transformation and business insight.

You’ll work across International Wealth and Premier Banking, Commercial Banking and Chief Operating Office teams, partnering with senior leaders and stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions. From leading the Financial Resource Plan and Country Strategic Plan to overseeing the Project Management Office and presenting performance insights to senior governance forums, you’ll turn complex information into clear decisions and coordinated action.

In this role you will:

- Lead the Financial Resource Plan process across CIIOM International Wealth and Premier Banking, Commercial Banking and Chief Operating Office, coordinating inputs from multiple functions and business areas.
- Support the development and delivery of the Country Strategic Plan, helping senior leaders translate strategic priorities into practical plans and measurable outcomes.
- Manage direct and indirect cost plans across the relevant business lines and functions, providing insight into performance, risks and opportunities.
- Lead the Project Management Office, overseeing workload, reporting and delivery across discretionary, non-discretionary and strategic projects.
- Provide clear management information and reporting on portfolio performance, key milestones, dependencies, risks and issues.
- Coordinate regular market governance reports for local, regional and global stakeholders, ensuring information is accurate, timely and decision ready.
- Act as a key escalation point for country, regional and global teams, bringing stakeholders together to resolve complex issues and maintain momentum.
- Lead and develop an immediate team while influencing colleagues across the wider business to deliver shared priorities.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

- Experience designing and delivering strategic plans, ideally within an international or complex financial services environment.
- Strong commercial and analytical capability, with the confidence to work with complex management information and financial data from multiple sources.
- Experience working in relevant environments, i.e. strong organisational, planning, interpersonal, management, negotiation, consultative communication skills.
- Proven project, portfolio or PMO management experience, including the ability to track delivery against milestones, manage dependencies and escalate issues effectively.
- Strong leadership experience, with the ability to motivate a team and create effective working relationships across business lines, functions and locations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to present clearly, influence senior leaders and constructively challenge established thinking.
- The ability to make prompt, practical and well-informed decisions while balancing competing priorities, BAU activity and large scale change.
- A flexible, self-starting approach and the resilience to manage time critical, culturally sensitive and complex challenges across multiple jurisdictions.
- A commitment to bringing diversity of thought and a fresh perspective to the team.
