About the role

At DP World, our Ocean Freight Forwarders play an important role in connecting businesses and markets through efficient, reliable, and compliant freight solutions. In this position, you will coordinate international and domestic ocean freight shipments, ensuring the smooth movement of goods from origin to destination while delivering an excellent customer experience.

You will join a collaborative Freight Forwarding team responsible for managing end-to-end ocean transportation activities, customs-related processes, and operational coordination across multiple stakeholders. The role combines customer focus, operational expertise, and problem-solving to deliver high-quality logistics solutions while supporting business performance, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

How you will contribute

- Coordinate and manage ocean import and export shipments, ensuring smooth execution from booking through final delivery.
- Arrange transportation solutions across ocean, road, and rail networks while balancing customer requirements, service expectations, and cost efficiency.
- Prepare, review, and manage shipping, customs, and transport documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Build strong relationships with customers, carriers, agents, and logistics partners, providing proactive communication and shipment updates.
- Monitor shipment progress, resolve operational challenges, and manage exceptions to keep shipments moving efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, international trade requirements, and dangerous goods procedures where applicable.
- Secure carrier capacity, negotiate freight rates, and identify cost-effective transportation solutions.
- Manage transport orders, shipment records, cost estimates, and invoicing activities through Transport Management Systems (TMS) and related platforms.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Customs, Finance, Warehousing, and Operations teams to deliver seamless logistics solutions and support customer success.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance service quality, reduce costs, and contribute to operational excellence and key business objectives.

What you will bring

- Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain operations, or a related environment, with knowledge of ocean freight processes, shipping documentation, and customer service.
- Understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, Incoterms, and transport compliance requirements, with a willingness to continue learning and developing expertise.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in a dynamic environment.
- Confidence using business systems and digital tools, including Microsoft Office applications and transport management platforms, to manage information and support operational efficiency.
- A customer-focused, solution-oriented approach, with the ability to build positive working relationships and contribute to an inclusive, collaborative team culture.
