Data Analyst

Description

We are looking for a hands-on Data Analyst with strong expertise in SQL and Power BI to transform complex business, marketing, and operational data into actionable insights and scalable reporting solutions. The role will work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Business teams to support data-driven decision-making, improve reporting capabilities, and drive business performance.

What We Expect From You

- Analyse large and complex datasets across marketing, lead generation, admissions, student recruitment, enrolment, revenue, and operations.
- Build and optimise advanced SQL queries for reporting, validation, reconciliation, and business analysis.
- Develop scalable datasets, analytical data models, and automated reporting solutions.
- Design, maintain, and enhance interactive Power BI dashboards and KPI reporting.
- Analyse the student recruitment funnel from Lead → Application → Offer → Payment/Deposit → Visa → Enrolment to identify trends, bottlenecks, and conversion opportunities.
- Translate business requirements into structured analytical solutions and actionable insights.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reporting and dashboards.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and Technology teams to improve data quality, reporting processes, and source systems.
- Automate manual reporting processes and continuously improve existing dashboards and analytical workflows.
- Present insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You Should Bring

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a similar role.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL, including complex joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, aggregations, and query optimisation.
- Advanced Power BI skills, including Power Query, DAX, data modelling, dashboard development, and performance optimisation.
- Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and data quality management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data storytelling capabilities.
- Ability to independently manage projects from requirement gathering through successful delivery.
- Experience working with cloud databases or modern data platforms will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Python for analytics or automation is desirable.
- Experience in Higher Education, EdTech, Student Recruitment, Admissions, CRM, or multi-country operations is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders through data-driven insights.
