As a Custody Operations Breaks Management Associate within Custody Operations Breaks Management and Oversight, you will support front-to-end processing for 1700+ clients with ＄27.8 trillion in assets under custody across 100 global markets. You will investigate complex break activity, strengthen risk and control execution, and elevate reporting through disciplined program management. You will build trusted relationships across Operations, Product, Change Management, and Technology while supporting an inclusive, high-performing environment.

Job Responsibilities:

- Certify periodic account coverage across custody to maintain consistency in reporting.
- Investigate complex issues and enquiries related to nostro and internal breaks, including timely identification, escalation, and remediation actions.
- Oversee regulatory oversight activities, including reporting and escalation of operations matters across jurisdictions and legal entities.
- Drive process improvements across break resolution, including identifying automation and matching enhancement opportunities.
- Partner with Operations, Product, Change Management, and Technology teams to define needs and deliver solutions that improve break resolution outcomes.
- Prepare and deliver stakeholder presentations that communicate priorities, progress, issues, and decisions.
- Maintain clear, well-documented communication across internal teams by reviewing and updating standard operating procedures and service level agreements to ensure consistency.
- Execute periodic spot checks to confirm the effectiveness and consistency of controls and breaks management processes.
- Analyze key themes and drivers of breaks to support control reviews, updates, and adherence.
- Lead regular one-to-ones and team meetings to share changes impacting the team, including market, functional, procedural, and service updates.

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

- Demonstrate strong custody operations experience across operations delivery, program management, or risk and control.
- Apply program management standards and methods to plan, execute, and track work in a controlled environment.
- Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with management, clients, and colleagues.
- Build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across the firm.
- Deliver results in a risk-based environment with a track record of risk reduction.
- Execute effectively in a changing environment by learning, documenting, and implementing new processes efficiently.
- Prioritize competing demands through strong time management, multi-tasking, and attention to detail.
- Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills to support analysis, documentation, and presentations.
- Demonstrate strategic and analytical thinking to assess issues and propose practical remediation actions.
- Lead team communication routines through structured updates, clear expectations, and consistent follow-through.

Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

- Hold a relevant degree or demonstrate an equivalent track record of performance in a similar role.
- Demonstrate financial services experience, ideally within custody or an investment banking environment.
- Show experience managing global teams within custody operations, including exposure to trades, settlements, lending, asset servicing, or middle office activities.
- Apply proficiency with tools such as Tableau and Alteryx to support operational insights and monitoring.
- Demonstrate project management skills that support planning, governance, and delivery.
- Developing experience using AI-powered analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to drive efficiency gains, reduce manual effort, or improve accuracy in operational processes.
