Asset Servicing Associate

As a Custody Operations Breaks Management Associate within Custody Operations Breaks Management and Oversight, you will support front-to-end processing for 1700+ clients with ＄27.8 trillion in assets under custody across 100 global markets. You will lead complex investigations, strengthen risk and control execution, and elevate reporting and governance through disciplined program management. You will build trusted relationships across Operations, Product, Change Management, and Technology while fostering an inclusive, high-performing team environment.

Job Responsibilities:

- Certify periodic account inventories across custody to maintain consistent reporting and governance.
- Investigate complex Nostro and internal breaks, identify root causes, and drive timely resolution with clear escalation and remediation proposals.
- Oversee regulatory oversight activities, including reporting and escalation of operational topics across jurisdictions and legal entities.
- Drive process improvements across break resolution, including identification and implementation of automation and matching enhancements.
- Partner with Operations, Product, Change Management, and Technology stakeholders to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Produce and deliver stakeholder-ready presentations that communicate program status, risks, decisions, and outcomes.
- Document and maintain clear working practices and communications across internal teams, including standard operating procedures and service level agreements.
- Perform periodic spot checks to validate control effectiveness and consistency across breaks management activities.
- Analyze recurring themes that create breaks and implement control enhancements to reduce reoccurrence.
- Facilitate regular one-to-ones and team meetings to communicate changes impacting the team, including market, procedural, and service updates.

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

- Demonstrate strong Custody Operations experience across operations delivery, program management, or risk and control disciplines.
- Lead people management responsibilities with effective coaching, performance management, and team communication practices.
- Apply program management standards and methods to plan, execute, and track delivery in a controlled environment.
- Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with management, clients, and colleagues across varied stakeholder groups.
- Manage stakeholder relationships across cross-functional partners and maintain effective collaboration routines.
- Deliver results in a risk-based environment with a track record of reducing risk and strengthening controls.
- Execute effectively in fast-paced, changing environments while learning, documenting, and implementing new processes efficiently.
- Prioritize competing demands through strong time management, multi-tasking, and attention to detail.
- Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills to support analysis, documentation, and presentations.
- Operate with strategic and analytical thinking to assess issues, identify trends, and propose pragmatic solutions.

Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

- Hold a relevant degree or demonstrate an equivalent track record of performance in a similar role.
- Bring financial services experience, ideally within custody or an investment bank environment.
- Show experience managing global teams within Custody Operations, including exposure to trades, settlements, lending, asset servicing, or middle office activities.
- Apply proficiency with reporting and analytics tools such as Tableau and Alteryx to support operational insights and control monitoring.
- Demonstrate strong project management discipline and tooling to support governance, planning, and delivery routines.
- Develop developing experience using AI-powered analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to drive efficiency gains, reduce manual effort, or improve accuracy in operational processes.
