Key job responsibilities
- Testing Prime Video features that run on Living Room devices (TVs, Set-top boxes)
- Manual test execution on devices
- Collaborating with device partners (TV manufacturers, Set-top box manufacturers) during the testing process
- Designing and developing the test-suite used to validate Prime Video features
- Collaborating with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to develop, maintain and fix tests, both manual and automated, based on test results
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure the Prime Video certification process maintains its high quality bar
- Leveraging AI to improve speed and quality of tests

About the team
The Device Partnerships organization works directly with third-party device manufacturers (e.g. Samsung, LG, Sony) and distributors to ensure that Prime Video works seamlessly on any living room device across the globe.

The certification team ensure that every living room device (TV, set-top box) delivers the high-quality experience that customers expect from Prime Video. This quality will be viewed by many millions of customers.

The team also manages and monitors the software running on these devices to ensure that they do not regress after they have been certified.

Basic Qualifications

- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Experience in penetration testing and exploitability-focused vulnerability assessment
- Experience in platform-level security mitigations and hardening for Linux and Windows
- Experience in professional, non-internship software development
- Experience building test automation frameworks and tools

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment
- Experience with security in service-oriented architectures and web services
- Experience working with device technologies under development, familiarity with flashing firmware, basic device debugging and familiarity with reading/pulling device logs, or experience with REST web services, XML, JSON
