Role Summary
Marex has unique access across markets with significant share globally both on and off exchange. The depth of knowledge amongst its teams and divisions provides its customers with clear advantage, and its technology-led service provides access to all major exchanges, order-flow management via screen, voice and DMA, plus award-winning data, insights and analytics.
The Fixed Income Operations team is responsible for supporting full life cycle events for all fixed income products traded by the various businesses. With support across several Fixed Income asset classes cross training is a constant team goal. Additionally, as the team supports several business lines, the ideal candidate will display an aptitude to work efficiently while navigating multiple tasks.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Front Office to ensure accurate processing of all credit and rates trading activity
- Monitor and resolve customer unaffirmed trades, street-side breaks, and failed trades.
- Understand and oversee team processes and identify areas for increased efficiency
- Track, resolve and UAT test issues or new projects across internal systems and vendor systems
- Assume responsibility for handling transactions, process or analyze in their area of expertise, and can resolve or recommend resolution to issues
- Research and resolve position breaks and allocation discrepancies
- Monitor Bank Cash Screens (BNY Fedwire) and GSCC/FICC Clearing for US Treasuries
- Support all aspects of Fixed Income Prime Brokerage activities – customer cash projections, settlements, trade processing, and setup
- Review daily controls across credit and rates vendor systems
- Supervise and track all credit corporate bonds conversion requests
- Work closely with counterparties and Pershing contacts to support corporate credit trading to resolve settlement and corporate action related breaks
- All employees are expected to understand and comply with any Sarbanes Oxley operational requirements relevant to their role
- Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges
- Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with

Skills and Experience
- 5 or more years of experience in Financial Institution required.
- Broadridge Impact & Pershing NetX360 experience required
- Understanding of trade life cycle events required
- Oversight or supervisory experience a plus
- Experience supporting Fixed Income trading of corporate bonds and US treasuries required
- Understanding of and experience with Fixed Income Prime Brokerage.
- Experience with Fedwire, DTCC clearing, and international settlements
- FINRA Series 99 preferred
- Working knowledge of one or of all the following systems: Pershing NetX360, Broadridge (Impact, FinPro, BPS), Bloomberg TOMS, FINRA TRACE
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with it
