Position Summary
The Marketing & Brand Strategist plays an integral role in bringing the B.HOM Student Living brand to life across our growing portfolio. This position helps ensure our communities put their best foot forward by maintaining strong brand standards, supporting digital marketing performance, developing portfolio-wide campaigns and resources, and providing responsive marketing support to our teams.
Working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing, Leasing & Sales Specialists, Operations, community teams, and external partners, the Marketing & Brand Strategist connects portfolio-level strategy with strong and consistent execution at the community level.
This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role that balances creativity with organization and strategy with execution. From brand management and digital audits to campaigns, reporting, training resources, and new business initiatives, you'll help provide our communities with the marketing tools and support they need to compete effectively in their individual markets.
What You'll Do
Marketing & Community Support
- Serve as a day-to-day marketing resource for B.HOM communities
- Manage incoming marketing support requests and ensure needs are prioritized and addressed in a timely manner
- Partner with Leasing & Sales Specialists, Operations, and on-site teams to understand community needs and support leasing goals
- Provide marketing support for new community takeovers, transitions, lease-ups, and portfolio changes
- Set up and maintain prospect portals for new communities and takeovers
- Participate in property, regional, portfolio, and ownership calls as appropriate
- Maintain organized marketing resources, systems, processes, and documentation
Brand Management
- Help protect and strengthen the B.HOM Student Living brand across the portfolio
- Ensure community marketing materials align with approved corporate and community brand standards
- Build and maintain Canva templates, brand kits, and marketing libraries
- Support new community branding, rebranding, and brand transitions
- Review marketing materials for accuracy, quality, consistency, and brand alignment
- Develop resources that help community teams execute brand standards effectively
Website & Digital Marketing
- Conduct routine website audits to ensure community content, imagery, pricing, promotions, and calls to action remain accurate and current
- Coordinate and execute website updates
- Review community digital presence and identify opportunities for improvement
- Partner with internal teams and external marketing partners to address digital marketing needs
- Help maintain accurate and consistent community information across digital platforms
ILS Management & Performance
- Lead ongoing management and auditing of Internet Listing Service (ILS) platforms across the portfolio
- Ensure listings are accurate, complete, optimized, and aligned with current leasing strategies
- Coordinate updates to pricing, promotions, photography, amenities, and community information
- Monitor ILS performance and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Maintain visibility into ILS products, contracts, participation, and key dates
- Prepare and distribute monthly ILS performance reporting to applicable ownership groups and internal stakeholders
Marketing Analytics & Ownership Reporting
- Coordinate monthly marketing performance reporting for ownership partners
- Review reporting for accuracy, consistency, and completeness
- Monitor marketing performance data and identify trends or opportunities requiring additional attention
- Maintain scalable reporting processes as B.HOM's third-party management portfolio continues to grow
- Partner with internal teams and marketing partners to provide clear and relevant performance information
- Support additional client and ownership reporting needs
The reporting component is particularly important in the source role, including monthly ILS and marketing performance reporting for ownership partners as B.HOM's third-party portfolio grows.
Campaigns & Portfolio Initiatives
- Support the development and execution of company-wide marketing campaigns
- Coordinate national and portfolio-wide marketing initiatives
- Create campaign templates, toolkits, instructions, and resources for community teams
- Support campaigns related to leasing, renewals, resident referrals, move-in, resident engagement, and other priorities
- Help ensure consistent campaign execution while allowing communities to tailor efforts to their individual markets
Training & Marketing Resources
- Develop marketing guides, templates, SOPs, and training resources
- Support marketing-related training and educational initiatives
- Create resources that simplify processes and help community teams execute effectively
- Maintain centralized marketing resources and keep materials current as systems and standards evolve
- Identify recurring support needs and develop resources that proactively address them
Business Development & New Management Support
- Support pitch decks, presentations, proposals, and marketing materials for new business opportunities
- Gather market, community, brand, and marketing information for prospective management opportunities
- Ensure business development materials consistently and professionally represent the B.HOM brand
- Provide marketing support during new management transitions, onboarding, and community takeovers
Sports Marketing & Partnerships
- Manage sports marketing contract dates, calendars, commitments, and deliverables
- Coordinate with communities, internal teams, and external partners to ensure commitments are completed on schedule
- Track deadlines and proactively communicate upcoming needs
- Help maximize available marketing opportunities associated with sports partnerships
What We're Looking For
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of marketing experience with exposure to both strategic and tactical marketing execution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
- Strong judgment and ability to make thoughtful, timely decisions
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication and collaboration
- An eye for design and an understanding of modern brand and graphic design principles
- Familiarity with digital marketing measurement, reporting, and best practices
- Ability to interpret marketing performance information and translate data into actionable insights
Preferred Qualifications
- Canva experience
- Experience with website content management systems and digital marketing platforms
- Experience with project management or ticketing platforms
- Experience supporting multi-location or portfolio-level marketing
- Experience with real estate, multifamily, student housing, or third-party property management
- Experience working with external agencies, vendors, and marketing partners
The source calls for at least three years of marketing experience and specifically emphasizes design aptitude, digital marketing/reporting knowledge, independent work, organization, and the ability to translate performance information into actionable insights.
Work Schedule
- Primarily Monday–Friday
- Extended hours may occasionally be required based on business needs, project deadlines, property transitions, or marketing initiatives
- Occasional travel may be required to support communities, company events, or business initiatives
Physical Requirements
