What’s the role?

Join a team that helps shape confidence in how Westpac manages risk across the enterprise. As a Manager in Enterprise Functions Assurance, you'll support independent assurance reviews across Finance, People, Legal & Secretariat, Group Sustainability and Risk. You'll dive into processes, test controls, uncover meaningful insights and work with stakeholders across the bank to strengthen risk management outcomes.

This role offers the opportunity to build deep knowledge across a range of business areas while influencing positive change through practical, evidence-based assurance outcomes. You'll work in a collaborative environment where curiosity, critical thinking and continuous improvement are valued every day.

This is a full-time permanent role based in Sydney with hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

What do I need?

- 4+ years' experience in assurance, internal audit, operational risk, or risk advisory, ideally within banking or financial services

- Experience assessing risks, controls, and remediation outcomes, including control design and operating effectiveness testing

- Strong critical thinking and ability to provide independent review and constructive challenge

- Experience conducting root cause analysis and identifying systemic issues, control weaknesses, and improvement opportunities

- Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex findings into clear insights

- Experience performing data analytics-based testing or automated control testing is highly desirable
