About the Role

As a Director, Debt Capital Markets (DCM), you will play a key role in originating transactions from Greater China, while driving ongoing business development and idea generation initiatives for the team. You will provide quality and timely advice to ANZ's clients on market conditions and the debt issuance process. In addition, you will oversee junior team members' work to ensure quality and accuracy, while providing guidance, coaching, and training to support their professional development.

What will your day look like?

As a Director, Debt Capital Markets (DCM), you will;

- Originate, structure, and execute bond and debt capital market transactions for corporate and institutional clients.

- Manage client relationships throughout the transaction lifecycle, ensuring seamless execution and delivery of capital market solutions.

- Prepare transaction materials, presentations, term sheets, and other documentation to support deal origination and execution.

- Coordinate and manage due diligence processes with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, legal counsel, and investors.

- Support the execution of Debt Capital Markets (DCM) transactions, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and client expectations.

- Collaborate with Relationship Managers and product partners to identify opportunities and deliver integrated client solutions.

- Work closely with DCM Desk colleagues to support business growth, transaction pipeline management, and market execution activities.

- Drive continuous improvement of transaction processes and workflows to enhance operational efficiency and execution effectiveness.

- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and governance standards across all transaction activities.

- Maintain strong awareness of risk management frameworks, including adherence to conflict management policies and procedures.

- Complete ongoing product, market, regulatory, and professional development training to strengthen technical expertise and support broader business objectives.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

- Prior experience in the financial markets industry is essential.

- Strong team player with a proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapt to extended working hours when required.

- Fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese is required to support and manage relationships with North Asian clients. Strong English communication skills are also essential for effective collaboration with regional and global stakeholders.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

- Strong product knowledge and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

- Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, and provide guidance to junior team members while maintaining high performance standards.
